  1. You can put all the catch up apps on a firestick. I have iPlayer, itv player, all 4 and 5 od on mine. As well as YouTube and some sports and news apps. If you want a wired connection you have to buy an add-on. You only need an Amazon account to set it up but you don't need Amazon prime to actually use it.
  2. The 4g mast just replaces the phone cable from your house. The rest is the same.
  3. If your soil has a concentration on sand and gravel then the water will eventually wash this out which will make the banks unstable. That's the biggest risk in to leaving them open for to long. Do it in two halfs as you have proposed and you should be fine.
  4. Well then get the aa batteries on the go and get that laser shining.
  5. I'm a bit more old school and used a length of builders string between the 2 ends with a peg driven into the ground but using the same principle. Obviously a laser is much much fancier!!!
  6. K blinds on the avenue rd lurgan so pretty close to you.
  7. Did you pop the lid on that manhole cover to see if it's coming in straight or at an angle?? If you can get some one to tap the pipe at the toilet with you holding your hand on the dug out section you might feel some vibrations.
  8. Mix it 6/1 with cement and just enough water to get it damp so it will set.
  9. Dig a hole to act like a sump and guide the water into the hole. Then you can either pump it out to a drain or bucket it depending on the flow. As above you always put a drain behind a retaining wall otherwise it will push the wall out and over.
  10. As most people here that have installed them are prepared to put a bit of work in adjusting them to get to work, ask yourself will the people who buy one of your flats do this. As with everything keep it simple.
  11. It needs something to grip onto no what type of fixing you use.
  12. Depending on how heavy your pole and curtains will be these might be better. https://www.screwfix.com/p/gripit-plasterboard-curtain-fixings-kit-15-x-6-pack/844ht
  13. Plasterboard screw???
  14. This will give you an idea.
  15. Just beware they do some lovely stone tables and benches and kerbs. As well as very large monolith type units. You might end up spending more than you wanted.
  16. 55cm is the smallest size most companies make but you can get them up to 120cm wide. Either your rafters are way out of square or his frame work is. As above the rafter should not have been cut without doubling up.

    UFH

If you do intend to use carpet then make sure you see the certificate that comes with the underlay that proves it has a low tog and don't just trust the salesman.

    UFH

I have carpet on 4 of my downstairs rooms and it works fine. You can't just use ordinary underlay though. It has to be specific for ufh and have a low tog rating, like your quilt, so it allows the heat to come through.
  19. Bits of timber that go horizontal across the wall in-between your vertical studs. They are there to help spread the load from above plus the studs wont twist.
  20. What kind of stone is that?? Looks very similar to the Donegal quartzite that I used from mcmonagle.
  21. I'm just finished doing my pavers. Lidl had a patio cleaner attachment for a powerhose and it has done a great job. Had to abandon ship though with it mostly done as it's started to lash down.
  22. He definitely done a good job cleaning that up. Don't think it will matter much though as with a driveway as white as that it will always look dirty with a tiny amount of grime on it.
  23. Welcome. You should have a Blending valve before the hot water enters the manifolds. This will then reduce the water in the ufh circuit to 30-45 degrees. The actual temp will depend on how much heat you will need to put into the floor when you take into account your heat losses from the floors, walls Windows etc. Can you take a pic of your manifold set up.
