    Small down lights

I’m looking for four small downlights to go above the oven housing I purchased two 40 cut out downlights for the alcoves in the bathrooms They came with a 1200 flex which would have been ideal for the oven housing Only the bulbs are fixed and I won’t be able to replace the whole fitting So I need downlights with detachable bulbs Does anyone have a link
  2. Yes that’s all the basin frame does From memory I think it needs to take up a minimum of 120 mil
  3. I’ve used four Geberit frames for our toilets But just used £25 frames for our wall hung basins Teally easy to install
  4. If it exciting board Cut a square piece of board slightly bigger than the hole in the ceiling. Hold it onto the ceiling and draw round it Then cut the ceiling with a pad saw Perfect fit You can normally scrape the exhausting skim back about 25 mm to allow you to get tape over the joints
  5. Oooom
  6. I spray painted ours before I started second fix joinery Taped up all the windows But still lots of overspray fabulous finish though I would never spray after floor coverings or tile are down
  7. This is the trouble Ian With most of the jobbers that we see on selfbuilds there’s little chance of getting them back if things go wrong With Easten Europeans you have no chance
  8. There’s good and bad Plenty of Polish will do the same

    Generator

If you are not going to have power onsite for a while It’s worth getting something quite rugged Preferbley with 110 voltages as 240 shouldn’t be used onsite

I’ve a luxaur flush fitting cieling hood to fit Large instruction book But only a diagram for fitting My problem is while there are two brackets there seems to be no way of attaching them without obstructing the outlet There are you tube videos but they show everything except how to attach them to the underside of the floor Has anyone fitted Luxair Or come across more detailed fitting instructions
  17. As the title suggests Are we able to claim vat back on the wood burner It’s not mentioned on the planning But a working chimney is
  18. Very nice and more practical than some of the ramps you see outside public buildings More of a gradual slope Thanks
  19. A picture would be helpful Jerremy
  20. Thank you for the reply’s I have a low threshold on the inside Onece I finish the tiling today there will be about 10 mil difference on the inside I no problem with putting in something Permian this As more brother in law is disabled and will finished up living with us again at some stage Its more a time factor I could probably put block pavers in and change them next summer To satisfy BC Mainstream builders are pretty keen with the low thresholds But often take it to an exstreme leaving only room for a vinyl floor covering nNo chance of tiling or carpet
  21. With our impending move to our new home We are thinking about a sign off certificate One thing I’m not sure about is disabled access Whilst we have installed a Low threshold to the side door It’s unlikely that any of the flags or pavers will be laid prior to us moving in would a timber ramp satisfiy BC Or will they withhold the certificate. Till we have laid a path to the side door and constructed a permanent ramp
  22. Two 50 mil collated screw in each joist
