My wife if looking to purchase two very exspensive light fittings for our hall and landing Has anyone any exsperience of Elka Elstead
-
But did they buy an island and build a hotel on it ?
-
Me neither There are some beautiful contemporary builds But some of these designs while looking unique Don’t look that great
-
Much prefer building the dream with ordinary people Rather than these who have an ecstatics 100 k in there back pocket Should they need it I was just making this point to my wife when a lady who had used lots of Nickuraguan mahogany Kevin’s asked why Nickiraguan She replied went on holiday Saw an island there Decided to buy it and build a hotel I rest may case

It’s nightwatch I have all the cameras on an app on my phone
-
Looks really good In the video they state computer Will this device work with a smart tv
-
I should have run a duct Instead I left the corner hollow so that I could draw the cable up that links the tv to my box in the loft
-
I installed cctv prior to starting first fix I built a shelf in the loft and sited it up there out of the way I’ve run a cable down to the lounge Which brings the cctv up on the screen My problem is that the wireless mouse I have will not pick up from the downstairs Is there a more powerful wireless mouse or a booster
-
Go for it Russ As Dreamer said its really easy to use Biggest advantage in my job is that you can adjust it without having to take half the scaffolding down
-
I’m suprised the screeners are mixing there own Ive done lots that way but the ready mix is so much quicker You need to allow a day per mil for the screed to dry out You are better with a decoupling mating Though I’ve tiled lots without Our own buiild I have tiled the entire downstairs 150 sq metres and used Ditra matting One long espansion joint and all doorways Its worth asking your screeders to put a joint int in each doorway Just a piece of twinwall plastic Cavity closer or simalar Flexi adhesive Flexi grout and filling or straightening needs to be done before the matting goes down Jist 5 mil to stick it down 6 to 8 mil gap around the edges

Has anyone a link for a decent quality electrical operated segmental garage door I would prefer Irish oak in colour but most seem to be white In fine instalng the door myself How hard could it be

Yes I priced catnic lintels at TP So this one online A third less They said they couldn’t guarentee that it would be catnic maybe IG Catnic was delivered by TP I asked the driver he said we have a haulage arrangement with another company So if you can find what you are looking for at a saving Go for it Had a simalar thing with a boiler a few years back Graham Gratrix merchants said absolute bottom line Found one a £100 cheaper GG wagon delivered

I regularly use both Exactly the same

Thanks for the reply’s We are only looking for a charger and laptop point For a ocasional use Our island design doesn’t really lend itself to a bank of sockets under the worktop
-
Pop up worktop socket We have the granite templater down today He asked what diameter hole we wanted I thought they may be pretty standard Wrong He also said that the type that plug in upside down are better ? Anyone have one
-
You will find that the k rend is more expensive on aqua panel You will need a base coat and mesh If you are using a concrete block Not a high suction block You won’t need a base coat or mesh
-
I use Knauf 2.4 x 900 Reall easy to use Never any problems Bit pricey at nearly 20 quid each 150 centre As long as they are completely base coated and messed never a problem K rend or Stooka are prefered Never take a job on with Webber now Not the best colour matches All there reps are total dicks Same patter contaminated water mixed wrong Temp to high to low

Looking back Ian’s labour sharing idea would work Many of our tasks are so easy When you done them before I think a pointer in the right direction is all some of us need My son and his parter have bought there first house Each evening we have been skimming over the artex Tonight I’m ripping the bathroom out She’s ordered Carndine flooring She’s just come in and said bad news All my floors need screeding £900 After a few minutes she said What’s screeding Guess what tomorrow’s night job is She’s no good at screening but as good as anyone at pulling the carpets up and peeping the floors -

A friend told me at the beginning some two years back You do everything yourself With the help of my wife we nearly have Its a vicious circle though with paid work having to come first at times and turning building work down to leave time for the house If we did it again I would take six months off to fit the house out Also a bit frustrating for my wife We took delivery of 220 metres of floor and wall tiles and they sat in our house for a month while I was doing work for others -
Yes through a grant Not means tested Just a leaflet through the door Previous years it had been mainly pensioners and very old properties But e eryone was eligible under the government scheme In not sure if NI is part of this scheme But I can’t see why not
