Morning, assuming horizontal so work on 600mm max, 160mm blocked/full is around 20kgs per meter so don’t scrimp on saddles or fixings

Guessing that it is running fairly flat carrying lots of rainwater.

What is it being fixed to?

Think how awful this would be if it failed. Too awful to be asking us on here, without knowing all the circumstances.

 

Also be aware that pipe bends so there will be sagging between supports. 

 

When the supports are in, swing from each one as a test. Seriously: i would.

 

160mm is a lot though. Explain?

afternoon all and a happy new year to everyone. I have a quick question please. I'm looking to add a drain valve of some kind to the end of my water manifolds (hot and cold) so I can drain them down if ever necessary. what would you recommend to connect to this 3/4" male connector to allow this to happen?

Bit like this?  I think 3/4 to 22mm compression elbow, then make up the loop, soldered Tee fitting and drain valve.

ok. but if I didn't want to solder I could do a 3/4 to 22mm compression and then use a threaded drain valve? I guess I could ask my heating engineers to solder a drain valve on for me.

 

and is this a drain off valve?

Yep - hex nipple / socket same difference just nothing to grab on that with a spanner but will work fine. 
 

If you can’t get a 3/4 male drain cock then get a 1/2 one and just get a 3/3 to 1/2 reducer

cheers. think that's something I can handle on my own. will pop down to City Plumbing next week and see what they have to save paying postage from JTM
