Increase size of holding tank, this may be the easiest option, maybe read the meter monthly to work out consumption and size tank accordingly. is there power at the valley/stopcock area, to add a pump set up if the other option isn’t viable?

Hang a curtain on the front face to hide the trestle. Instant SWMBO approval. screw a socket to the side for the microwave and kettle and she will love you forever
-
Get a couple of trestles and plywood and cut a sink out and sit a microwave on it. Make another and there is the prep space.

That’s how mass builders do it. you can of course put an off cut in too. -
Cut your losses and get it fixed by someone else or walk away NHBC are useless main contractor down the tubes heating engineer’s contract with builder. heating engineer will blame builder. you will get stressed and upset emailing and phone calls It’s never going to be resolved to your satisfaction. is the floor a fire compartment? complicating things further? lifting flooring, glued down? damaging joists Cracking ceiling in flat below. if the oven heats the place up, then get a 3kW fan heater leave the ASHP as is and sell the flat

So is there anything in the loft looking strange above the crack?
-
So what’s above the corner where the big crack is?
-
So what’s above the crack? Loft? another flat? just taken a wall down and plastered up? just to get an idea, as you don’t provide a lot of supporting evidence, would be good if you described the room, timber floor, concrete floor? Wall construction
