Just get anything that records 1080p Basic systems are fine. I have a basic system at home and use an expensive system at work, they have different requirements. the home unit from amazon- sansco ticks the boxes, easy to navigate, easy to record, easy to view, at your budget you don’t need fancy nice haves, just to record imagery. Or get a WiFi Netvue cctv and turn the infra red off and point out the window for under£40.

I would fit the 3 phase board now, why spend money twice to swap out and have to pay an electrician twice. deal with the grief once -
Electricity Connection...

£500. Best £500 you will spend. 5/10/15/ 20 years time when the family all have EV and you are looking for multiple charging points! For just one example. -
Electricity Connection...

If costs aren’t too crazy I would go for 3 phase to allow you to maximise PV over 3 phases. helpful for balancing other loads too, particularly EV charging there is no clumsiness in using 3 phase -
So you are planning to do an outside socket, great so fit an IP rated socket and adjacent to it fit a switched spur for the outside lights. spur let’s you isolate the lighting swa cabling straight into spur.

Doesn’t it depend on who is building it?

22mm or 47mm thick Sole plate?
TonyT replied to mrmcrae's topic in Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)
47mm for the sole plate and reduce the height of the walls by 25mm and you have the same height -
If you are tying into the lighting circuit -and finding not difficult why not spur off the ground floor sockets? drill out the back of a socket and away you go. easier for cable run!

It’s a bit rough. they get mortar in, by applying enough to squeeze some out when the blocks are pushed together, and then flushing off with the trowel
-
Use the bar instead of the banjos/frying pans. They do the same job.
-
Get some mitre fix adhesive, handy stuff how are you fixing the skirting to the walls?
-
Have a look in screwfix, everyone’s budget and preference is different

Hybrid Off Grid Energy Feasibility
TonyT replied to Curtis's topic in General Alternative Energy Issues
What happens in a fault? what happens if you are not technically minded to maintain equipment what happens when you get old? only you can answer what’s right for you you can get someone else to excavate to save some costs and get the DNO to run cable, they don’t have to do all the works -
