Connection detail I'd imagine. If you have gables you Could have gantry beam/truss gable to gable within proper attic area then mono trusses off each side of this down to wall plate. With posis for your floor

Was on a job in town yesterday terrible h and s yet they wanted people to wear vests and had a map to nearest defibrillator and hospital. Refused to wear the vest and refused to go back after yesterday. Was helping a mate oyt. Main contractor was to provide scaffolding below staircase we were fitting I'll get a screenshot of video. Don't get me wrong my jobs aren't a shining example of h and s but no stupid risks are taken. -

Nobody wants pms for sake of looking at your brickwork. Post them on the thread!

@ProDave @JSHarris it's a disease isn't it. I'm by no means a perfectionist or a boffin but I can't understand these patio layouts or anything like that for the life of me. Everything has to be logical.

Yeh what about 4" sole and header with 3" studs art staggered 300mm centres. Would this give a superior sound resistance? Can't put nogs in centre I suppose with this way -

I've got the 154 impact. Has been back for few repairs under warranty. Not sure if that means reliability is questionable?

Internal partition walls Stud work Vs block work

Prefer the feeling of solid walls in my current place. Realistically though I would use partitions in new build myself just so much easier and cheaper -
Our BCO's a nice chap. Honestly. But ...

Once the superstructure is up a lot of the work is self certifiable, elecs and gas anyway. Doesn't make it right but they are a bit uninterested nowadays. I have noticed how hard they try to sell their services to you now (even LA). Must be on commission/bonus? -
I thought you meant you were going to face and edge over the planer as you would do for joinery timber. Stick to underneath for this

My district charges for asbestos. The one 100 yards away doesn't. As it just so happened my elderly nan in the free district needed to get rid of "her" asbestos so i decided to help. Spent 15 quid on polythene to wrap was still a nightmare. Where can you take the stuff if your in the trade and don't want all the permit palarva?

Why do bpc quote on two different types of ducting? What's so good about red one?

They do usually ask about trees for insurance but think ask within 7m. Last place I has bordered onto a woodland some big trees there relatively close. Just 1.5m down with clay boards. More trouble was conifers on another elevation over 2m down there

Don't forget a passive rated seperate poor door for the social scum

Is it necessary to put cladding timber over the top of the planer? If it were me and the stock was relatively flat I'd machine it all underneath the thicknesser to required thickness ie 30 odd mm then just square the edge over the top then back to underneath thicknesser. Or have I got wrong end of stick?

Slightly hijacking here but what is the pros/cons of having electric meter installed near garage then taking a feed from garage to house. I know Dave and Jeremy have similar arrangements and I have oppertunity to do this on next house. I would want power to garage anyway so need a cable regardless. I won some pretty thick cable off a job the other year. Offcuts on a warehouse. One advantage I can think is no need for consumer unit to be in a position 3m from meter in house.

Also a video of you putting the code in
