  1. Has any long term studies been done with Aircrete foundation blocks below ground? My place is on them. Manufacturers used to say they handle freeze thaw better due to air but is that just a gimmick? I suppose once earth is compacted either side of wall where can it go
  2. Where i am supplies to newbuild in 25mm are only guaranteed for 10 or 12l/m or something like that. 28, you don't know your born.
  3. Not bad milky bars on u
  4. I hate big manufacturers when they do that. Quickstep tried to do it to me last year but I just kept threatening the supplier with legal action. The law is so focused on the consumer that the supplier eventually buckled and paid my whole claim just by threatening action. It included cost for removal, disposal, replacement, new skirting and redecorating. Have you tried going through supplier rather than manufacturer? Not fit for purpose? What about legal cover on house insurance.
  5. Respect to all you hubbers who have no fear playing around with electricy magic boxes. Changing a fuse is my limit.
  6. I would say around 140 structural plus board and finish. Thinks it's the sizes second from the bottom you need to refer to. The waste pipes from these are not 110mm till they go below the floor.
  7. Are you trying to form the whole arch rather than lay the soldiers on the arch over timber former then fill in the bottom?
  8. The guy I use is pretty hot at leadwork but you don't get much on a standard roof. Any of his big lead jobs are just an All in price.
  9. I've never had a problem with plasterboard boxes but a lot don't like them. @ProDave is in the trade and think he is happy with them. I've never heard of these being fitted before boarding/2nd fix surely it defeats the object?
  10. Whatever one the mastic man turns up with. Sorry couldn't help more
  11. Hopefully falls back for you. Won't be back to 9 quid though. What makes you want to start a new one at the min? I'm sitting it out for a year or 2 more

  13. You will get any decent joiners shop to make you formers for ontop of windows give them the width and take them some treated 4x3 in. Trammel and bandsaw job done
  14. Weren't you bothered about just plasterboard to close your cavity @joe90? What's supporting behind it where it meets the widow
  15. Sorry I thought they were rebated. @Mr Punter solution might be better if you're re decorating anyway
  16. Lol another here. Buy the flashing you tight git. They're not supplied as you buy different ones for different roof coverings.
  17. Think he's more worried about binding. Loosen screws off and set him he bit further back plug holes if needed
  18. He might ease and adjust each door for you. It wouldn't take too long to sort that.
