  1. is the requirement for a treatment plant log book- and ongoing sampling- not a German/ mainland European thing?
  2. sounds like they've accidentally included hire, at those costs...
  3. aren't they the really sappy b*ggers that aren't recommended in a stove?
  4. it's up to the fabricator to remember to insert the steel sections with any profile, I fear.
  5. I'm using a 9kW ASHP on a smallish thermal store, so we don't have a massive amount of *stored* energy until there's plenty of PV diverted to it. Nevertheless, the tank never runs cold and the heat pump will cut in and recover seamlessly. Less than an hour will recover the tank.
  6. @crispy_wafer what size Solido is it? I've just checked our documentation and the 6-8PE is 150kg, needing a 180cm dig, it's got a lifting eye on top and no concrete required... best practice is to steadily fill with water as you backfill, to equalise the loading although the moulded tank can take full load either way unsupported
  7. not how it works. You made the assertion...
  8. certainly not the cheapest in the UK. Maybe the GB part of the UK? I passed two stations yesterday here both at the same 130.9...
  9. Our HP will happily switch itself from cooling to DHW if it needs to. Plus how long do you think you'll need to run it for to take a wee bit of extra heat out of the house?
  10. OT, but how much are diesel and unleaded at the mo with you?
  11. I'd love to see some actual data on that, if you have it?
  12. I'm guessing the spark meant compressor, not condenser.
  13. better not forget the locking collets on the JG fitting if it's going to be unseen...
  14. depends. ASHP tops the tank up- and catches better half's morning shower- during the E7 period in winter. Currently the PV is diverting to it.
  15. Depends on the standing charge surely?
  16. Fan? if you're savvy electronically, you might open it up and see if you can ascertain the offending board area or component; a blob of silicone might well damp the culprit.
  17. why do you think you need 4-core to a boost switch? It only needs to be a momentary contact closure.
  18. 230kg sounds like an awful lot, is this a Conder with a steel frame underneath? I don't think our Solido would've been over 100kg. We used out 2.7t machine to install it, but there's no way it would've had the reach to lift it off a wagon.
  19. well 70 is already scalding temperature so you should be able to confirm a tempering valve on your hot tank? If so then yes, it's safe.
  20. so during the day they won't notice the light and it will burn needlessly. The corner of a shelf in the hips/ ribs OTOH might just focus the mind...
  21. nope, that's just an overflow tank to catch anything from the safety valve.
