  1. I know it’s old, but any chance you may have pictures?
  2. Posted on another thread. What do people think of using these instead of hand machines saving on labour costs as my back will not permit me doing the work. How close to the load bearing wall should I be digging? http://www.dceplanthire.co.uk/diggers
  3. Good afternoon quick question for all. would it be ok to use the Micro digger to break my existing 30cm concrete slab in the existing build instead of using a handheld machine (Hilti 3000)? what is the safe margin to leave around the existing load bearing walls? understanding cold bridging, would it just be ok to line up the edges with 25mm PIR? I will use a Radon mitigating solution for the whole of the existing slab as it won’t be possible to cover all existing surfaces with Radon barrier. All help is much appreciated. http://www.dceplanthire.co.uk/diggers
  4. I came across a few sites that offer sections for free. I got a lot of details from them. let me know if I am allowed to post the links and I will.
  5. I suppose because I am a visual person and I don’t understand most of the work unless I can see a drawing or a video of it. It will be easier for me to write things down when I am able to go through the layers and details, rather than miss important details and then it would be my fault. I managed to find a few really good resources online along with copyrighted drawings which I am able to use for guidance. Equally very fortune to have an experienced guide reviewing my work till my final submission.
  6. Any chance you have a picture to show me?
  7. Yes it’s an open plan. If it makes any difference there is no gas in the property. It’s all electric. I don’t have a TV or a kettle, it would be something to cook on and the oven, along with the fridge/freezer and washing machine. Other than that phone chargers and that’s about it I think.
  8. That’s a really good option too. I am happy to explore ideas. I flexible with internal alterations to see what works better.
  9. I can work the size up to 1m2 and my neighbours won’t be happy regardless. I am in the process of drafting a kind letter so that we are all clear. I am so grateful to you and everyone here who contributed with an answer.
  10. Hmmm. U see this is where the dilemma is. The website said within 1 meter. Doesn’t this apply?
  11. I do have one. I’ve had a few visits so far and the BCO is the one guiding me to be compliant. Hence why I am asking here because he is ok with the window in question. it’s not that I don’t trust him but a few people including @ETC said it won’t be allowed even though BCO has approved it. Forgive me if I sound confused.
  12. @ETC are you happy with this?
  13. Yes that’s exactly the plan. Thank you
