  1. So... you can’t take the design as is as it will be copyright on the website, but you can take a copy of it as inspiration and say I want something like this. You will also find that there will be other designs that you will take inspiration from - don’t stop with the first idea you come up with.
  2. Not unless you are VAT registered.
  3. I don’t rate polypipe but use the Wunda pipe as it is middle of road on price and quality is good. Make sure your manifolds can be fitted with the correct Eurocone nuts and stiffeners that match the pipe.
  4. If you have a TS then the solar can go into that but not directly into the floor. Why is the UFH not fed from the TS..? That is their primary purpose to provide an equalising store for multiple heat sources and heat loads.
  5. Do not include a thermal solar panel in a heating circuit containing UFH pipes !! They are not rated to the correct temperatures and you can get significant system temperatures with solar.
  6. Any..! Duct tape is ideal as it’s tough, just don’t make it fully airtight on both ends of the same loop.
  7. Yes Yes - get a landlords gas installation inspection No - depending on what the gas inspection says No - but it depends on the overall installation and what was included under Part L Are you concerned because you want to sell, or just that you don’t think things have been done right ..? Why not contact the local council building control office and ask for the file for your property..??
  8. Neither will be damaged by cold, but if you can get an airline in to blow the water out of the pipes it would be good if you can’t seal up the whole building as @ProDave says.
  9. Keeping electrikery bits with the warm wet bits does seem a bit of a strange idea given their history with bowing and bending panels etc. A smaller control panel would be more in keeping and easy to do - but that’s not their usual RTM so why would they ..??
  10. You need to use MK Grid for the modules to match. They also need a back box - 35mm is ideal.
  11. Cylinders2Go Telford cylinder comes with all the bits. What is the limitation on 250l - height or width ..?
  12. If you let the silicone go off properly it will rub off glass. Other than that, Multisolve will remove the residue with a couple of baby wipes too. The coatings should also be on the inside surface not the external surface of the glass so you shouldn’t cause any damage cleaning it off
  13. Pic..??
  14. Welcome ...! Quick tip if you’ve hired that JCB Telehandler ... never park them up with boom extended as they can throw restart errors. You also risk the damage to the boom by other stuff such as your dumper or 360 hitting it as the boom sections are black and not easily seen... That is a £10k repair ..! If you want to practice then get a stack of pallets and move them about for an hour. You’ll soon get used to how the machine responds.
  15. Take the top off and leave it for a day then use a short screw to wind in a little and pull the plug of foam out. Should come out easily as the nozzles are PTFE lined. Don’t go further down than the black ring on the threaded nozzle and you are safe
  16. Heavy SDS with a rotary lock and fitted with a scutch comb will fetch it off.
  17. Hi - yes I meant if 195 was being used I would make every 4th joist a pair of 47 x 195 bolted together. I’m assuming they have or are putting plenty of noggins between the joists ..?? It will stop any desire to twist.
  18. So the gas safety record should have a GSR installer number in it, against the certificate holder. If that is complete then it has been installed as part of a self certification scheme and doesn’t require building regs sign off.
  19. Is the boiler new ..? If so, to get the warranty he would have to have used a gas safe engineer. The engineer should have completed the benchmark / install book and can self certify the work. Has the builder not handed that over .??
  20. Hire !! And also have a proper look at one as they have an adjustable knuckle at the head which changes the angle when you turn the handle. Plenty of videos on YouTube
  21. I’d put a 28mm compression connector where you have B marked on the pipe and make it easy for myself.
  22. A lot of the issues are down to usage and knowing when to programme. @DOIGAN if you set the programmer the second time in the day for a degree higher then using the thermostat it will trigger the heat pump to run but be adding heat as the stored heat in the slab tails off to ambient.
  23. So it doesn’t matter how long it runs for, you will use the same amount of oil as it is purely balancing the heat lost with the heat required. As you’re on oil, when the slab heats is irrelevant as the cost is the same. If you were on E7 or something like that then time of heat and time to heat is key. I’ve got E7 set to run overnight and tbh the boost in the evening hasn’t kicked in yet but that’s with a set temp of 20.5c.
  24. It is genuine. I’ve just done an L with decent built cabinets and all appliances for £1700 inc VAT. Prior to the sale the same thing was coming in about £2250.
  25. They already exist !! https://www.construction-tenders.co.uk/small-construction-tenders/
