  1. Oh b!lls ! Ordered it from Amazon The wine lowered my resistance threshold . Anyway I’ll rent it to @Onoff for £30 a week . Get my money back and then some if I wait long enough . OH GOODY ! A new toy ! ?
  2. Yeah but it seems too cheap . Amazons return policy even on 3rd party any good ?
  3. Notice amazon have a few ‘used but like new’ at only £405 !!!! Tempted even more !!!
  4. Looking at the refurbed units that are 110v Could I use a simple 240v to 110v plug in transformer for this ( around 10 quid ) or must I buy one of those bitchingly heavy 110 yellow chunks transformer at £50 ??
  5. Yeah - but I read it between the lines as “used a bit”
  6. Yeah I saw that . Would be a 300 mile round trip . Tbh rather buy new .
  7. It gets excellent reviews . Just wish it was a few quid less ...... Anyone got one and want to swap for some walk on glazing ???
  8. Tempted .... https://www.toolstoreuk.co.uk/dewalt-d24000-240v-250mm-tile-saw-complete-with-stand-packed-seperately/p3185?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_t3ixbul4QIVz5TtCh1Fhwm6EAUYAiABEgK53_D_BwE best price I can find with stand
  9. Is 5 o'clock too early for wine?
  10. Thanks I did find the first one TBH. No electrician seems to understand. The council require it for HMO license. So it's really a case of whomever installed it can sign it off with these. But of course they probably aren't BS5839 qualified ( or done the course ) . So then it gets tricky.....
  11. Do you know, If it wasn't for me you lot would be bored. Same old questions about a UVC , or some 'brexit' rubbish or perhaps watching endless photo's of @Onoff re grouting the same tiles for the hundredth time. I add an air of creativity to projects even Kevin McCloud would shun . My posts keep you lot alive!!! FRIDAY WINE LATER!!!
  12. Ooooo - only just noticed I'm an "advanced member" does that mean I know lots of things or just that my penis is massive?
  13. Why make life easy when you can build underground!!!! ???? ( you can tell it's Friday! )
  14. No, no no. This is a simple problem. Ripping up your own work to get it done again and still 'potentially' have leaks in a 'roof' - now that will drive you mad. This is known territory . Rough floorpan to show distance issues attached!
  15. Hey all, Apparently my local council require these. But any electrician I have spoken to seems 'confused'. Even the one that installed the fire alarm and emergency lights. I *assumed* there was a standard form for these - but can't find anything generic online. Council unhelpful as you can imagine. Any help appreciated. thanks Mark
  16. SWMBO will execute me ! ?
  17. Now I understand a pump station- it’s not possible . No where to place it ! Onwards and upwards !
  18. Actually i’ve Just thought of a trick ! i can ( I think ) reduce the Maserati pump distance ...
  19. Problem is wc is some distance from sink . So WC has to pump to near sink and exit .
  20. What’s the difference? A pump station just on the wc ? I.e it can pump that distance ?
  21. Right ! i can feel @Nickfromwales breath on my back already ! In the below ground domain we are having a wc . Its quite possible it’s location downstairs has to be moved . It will be under the parking area and on the opposite side to all the drainage ( typically ). As it stands the macerator would have to pump up 2 metres - then ‘around ‘ the stairwell , then horizontal for maybe 8 metres , then possibly vertical again ( less than 1 metre ) !!! Directly below this ‘exit’ point is the below ground kitchen sink ( which of course has a macerator) . I’m assuming the run for the wc is too long and convoluted ( diagram might help ) . So ! Could the wc macerator feed into the kitchen one to ‘eject’ waste ? ???
  22. Skills !
  23. Gave in and ordered it . relatively small groves in each board . Surprised not T&G ! Anyway spent the cash
  24. Hey @Onoff fit one of these ! Dead nice I think !
  25. It will fall off one day for sure !
