And I’ve got no wine ?
-
No idea mate ! I’m spent ?
-
I know I know ! Want to blame condensation- but in my heart think it’s a leak ! Might try my PIR experiment and also flash that far wall then see . What a bitch ! 6 months to be no further - keeps me awake at night ?
-
Dumb question. I've seen LOTS of condensation before in the basement area i.e. droplets on the concrete ceiling with no track marks, On these window corners as a test ; if I foam gunned come PIR to the problem areas and indeed even up the inside of the upstand. *In theory* after rain etc. if I removed the stuck PIR and no water tracking was visible on the concrete then that would confirm it's a condensation issue where the concrete reaches dew point. Dumb idea? or just incorrect!
-
What I meant is the water track marks from the corners look the same ! Not good news .
-
So currently I have no idea !
-
So ! i hose that corner wall for a good 10 minutes. Run underneath- can’t see any obvious difference ! ?
-
This is the wall near the troublesome window . Looks like it got saturated in the rain - so with no flashing possibly the problem ? i’ve covered the window better this time - see what happens
-
Ok We’ve had fairly decent rain so I went to look at the site . Gates blown open and knocked a window cover over - so water there expected . 2 seem dry . 1 slight water as expected . Other not so sure ( the smaller one with water tracking marks from the corners . Remember no flashing at the moment

Composite Cladding Any Good?
Pocster replied to Robert Clark's topic in Environmental Materials & Construction Methods
Hey Cost was just over 2K + vat. So that's the rear (as in the photo) and also some fixed vertically ( nightmare! ) at the front. As I said I spent a fortune on the nice trim. Cheers -
Composite Cladding Any Good?

Marley eternit was the product . All the trim costs though ! I over used it to hide all cuts . Happy to dig up the cost for you later -
Looks like a dream ! https://www.tradetiler.com/dewalt-d24000-wet-saw-electric-tile-cutter-inc-stand-select-voltage.html

Just what DO we want to build?
Pocster commented on Sue B's blog entry in 5 (2 adults, 3 dogs) go building in Dorset
Yep flat roofs - especially of ‘ non standard ‘ design are a nightmare. We had no proper plan for it , and by that I mean the architect didn’t . Hopefully though we are moving forward on that aspect . -
Record all conversations covertly . i did ; helped my fight for 5 years
-
Render board . I think all stud finders work on snake oil - ffs . imex on the way
-
Yep . Its ok - I know exactly where to look for leaks .
-
Can you guess the result? IMG_8944.MOV

Couldn’t agree more . Have completely covered the walk on sky light holes - just waiting for rain .

It passed the test so will get the 25 yr warranty . You are quite right behind the gate pillars was tricky ( they showed me this without me prompting) they’ve ‘poured’ bitumen in that gap . Between the gates the bitumen runs through them so water will run off ( will get a photo up later ) .

Roofers been He said price didn’t include flashing (ffs) ; but said it did need it and gave me a guys number . The ‘test’ took all of 4 minutes - guy with a broom type device

No , they scan with a magic thing and it determines whether there are any patches of less than acceptable depth . Happens tomorrow so will know then .
-
No idea ! Suspect neither work “ for me “ Its the ‘eco’ version whatever the F that means for a stud finder ?
-
Not at the site. But took this photo because the gate hinges will need moving up 50mm What I do notice where the permatec goes vertical up the stone work it does look like it's fully bonded - so *perhaps* flashing isn't required !

Found imex on Amazon But they’ve just cancelled my order ! Found again on eBay from different seller . Determind to get this !
