    I enquired to Dave at SBS ref his Compact RCBO boards in this sceanario, he's come back: "The biggest size of double decker (in fact, the only size that LiVE do) is a 24-module / 22-way box. This would not give you the 24 circuits you need, unless there is a circuit rethink. Attached, is one I did for a customer, with 22 circuits. A good solution would be stacked 2 x 14-mod boxes, giving you 26 usable ways, if using 1 x Main Switch, or 24 usable ways, if using 2 x Main Switches. They could be coupled together, using brass or plastic bushes, giving room for all cables to pass through. Alternatively, they could be coupled them together with, say, 2 small bushes and bring all the cables, including tails, through the back knockouts, using my Stand Off Frames.     All day long. This metal cu thing is a load of bs in my personal; opinion. If there is a fire in there it just contains it on the wall better and uses all your ducts etc to spread it. There was a big fire happened in one of the stately homes (Clandon Park) a while back, this exact scenario I think. Think someone had left a knockout open and something had nested in there.

    Tonight's foray into lawnmower refurb. I've got a stack of M10 bolts about 300mm long but the shanks only 9mm. Turned the end down to 8mm and stuck an M8 die down it. A bit thicker but no issue for what it does (pto tensioner):

    20mm pvc leccy conduit all day long. You can get heavy duty (thicker wall) stuff too btw. (I proposed similar a while back I think for a home brew SIP shed. As in space OSB say 150mm apart and fill with foam). Tut, tut, some of those square washers look pi $$ed!

    I find a bit here and there makes the job last much longer. Try some studwork followed by some plumbing then a bit of boarding to spice things up. Maybe mix up some concrete but leave an area to do "later". Good to beer off (an apt auto correct if ever there was one) in another direction completely and start another or multiple unrelated projects. Works for me...

I wonder if you could get a copy of such a local survey maybe from another self builder or Council records and plagiarise it?

    This is a Hawker Sideley TUNGSTONE battery in it at the moment from a good few years back. Trying to hunt down specs on it out of interest.

    What drunken fuckwit mark out the drain centreline from slab edge 714mm instead of 704mm? Hmm, I wonder??? I'll just adjust it...Oh wait, I cant! Also cants back a bit but I'll get away with it. That poxy blue foam! I'm sticking to low expansion in future! EDIT: In the cold, (sober) light of day I realise my 704/714mm issue isn't a problem and that I'd accounted for it already. The dimn to the left of this is critical for the tiles and that's fine. I'll get working on the shower tray former tonight hopefully (after making my mower part).

    Yeah! The refurbed mower pcb works, good lad! All LEDs seem to do what they should in response to ignition, charge, cutter engage, lights and brake. Stuck a Capri battery on it just to test (but physically too big). Best price I've found is £45 delivered for a new battery. Had to cut off a cranked M8 bolt in order to fit the new drive belt so I'll make a new one tomorrow out of some 9mm bar I've here. I just couldn't get any purchase on the inaccessible, original, rounded, rusted nut.

    Gulley/grate I think where the existing one is between the black 50mm in the foreground (bath) and the new shower one about equi-distant beyond the drain. I'm going to redo it anyway and get rid of the old clay. Probably lower it too. The white monstrosity coming round the corner is from the upstairs ensuite. Trying to avoid bathroom grey water going directly into soil stacks in case the cess pit backs up!
