  1. And the euphemisms just keep on coming!
  2. Could I just mix up some SBR laden sand and cement and inject with my mortar gun?
  3. This one? https://www.screwfix.com/p/mapei-floor-wall-tile-adhesive-grey-20kg/4367d And is it waterproof do you know? Cheers
  4. Any suggestions from S'fix, Wickes?
  5. I HATE Aqua Panel. I'll seriously consider NOT using it and going mrpb like our Welsh guru advocates next time. Dusty as f*** when cut, sharp on the hands etc. So much for 15mm edge distance, even with the proper Knauf screws it splits easy. Also if left leaning against a wall for months it takes on a curve A smidge of EBT and the now modified panel put on with the outlet hole moved: Trying to stagger the joints. About 5mm here: But the side abutting the mitre is a good 10mm: The Knauf instructions say to fill gaps with tile adhesive. Could I fill these gaps BEFORE tiling I wonder? Or again maybe something cheap on the adhesive / filler line but NOT Sikaflex EBT!
  6. Single or double pole out of interest? Not saying it'll be an issue but poorer quality sockets can sometimes break down, crack and show brown marks if running hot i.e with a couple of heavy loads plugged in. But then saying that even the better known makes can be overloaded!

  8. If anyone can point me to a Vado Summit bath mixer tap, with or without shower take off, for peanuts or less I'd be a very happy chap!

    Stair lighting

Not at all. Discrete occupancy switches top and bottom could switch the light strip. Then there are various aluminium channels to contain LED light strips that could be recessed, eg: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Meter-Aluminium-Channel-for-LED-Strip-Light-with-Cover-PVC-Profile-5050-3528/202024985968? Unfinished of course but I'm doing it cheap as along the bath pocket: Tiles are just resting at an angle but you get the idea:
  11. Hornbeam I'm guessing? We planted a mixed native hedge. Half a dozen types that bear fruit at different times. Birds and insects love it. (Should have saved my money, ash, elder, slow and oak all seem to do a bloody good job of self seeding held together by ivy! )
  12. Tbh I quite like manual scything the old fashioned way. With my shirt off and glistening with sweat SWMBO likened me to Poldark.... 's HORSE!
  13. My mistake was doing it all sober.
  14. Perilously close to Kevin & Perry Go Large quote "Where do you find punk?"
  15. The Aqua Panels measure exactly 1200 x 900mm. Once I correct the panel on the mitre (cut the bottom to falls and move the outlet hole) I need to infill the bit on the left being propped by the long level. It's a 910mm gap. They say to leave a 3-5mm gap between Aqua Panels and fill with tile adhesive. On the face of it, quite literally then I'm bang on the money, 910-900=10mm so 5mm (gap) either side. BUT...where it meets the mitre facing panel it'll be a bit wider than 5mm at the back. A worry or not?
  16. -20. That's shite! A bit of brick acid might make it a bit more presentable.....or some black bitumen paint to cover it all up!
  17. It WAS going alright. Anyone spot the mistake? Some EBT on the edges of the pocket Aqua Panel: And on with the main bit: But then: EDIT: What I meant to say is how pleased I am my falls worked out to plan!
  18. @pocster does mine:
  19. All of 'em! The cess pool I think is over to the right where it gets thicker:
  20. As title. Looking to buy one of those 4 (5?) in 1, strimmer, brushcutter, hedge trimmer & chainsaw. Thinking around the £250 mark budget wise as in a make I can get spares for. Ideally not 2-stroke. Any suggestions?
  21. Could you use the old "soapy water on the inner tube" trick to find the leak(s)?
  22. With no more access to the eBuild forum I can't be sure of the exact date my concrete slab was poured though it was definitely pre May 31 2016. I think the slab should be cured enough for tiling by now!

    Stair lighting

Really such lights need to come on one by one as you walk up the stairs and go off once past. By running up and down really fast you can pretend you're in an episode of Knight Rider.
