Erm.....? What's that then? Hell of a lot of different models. Needs to obviously do HW, CH or both. There's a: MPN V4044C1569U, any good? There was I think back on eBuild a thread on Honeywell 3-port valves.

The replacement, generic motor / actuators say they'll fit either Tower or Honeywell. Names I'm seeing are Salus, Drayton, Danfoss, Siemens....etc

Trust me, it's a lot of work trying to do up an old, badly built place. I'm trying to do so now. Loads of time is spent making what's there "good" even if you're covering it up / adding. With hindsight I would have knocked down and rebuilt. If you need a push to self build then visit some of the Passive (or better than Passive) builds on here. I've only visited one and tbh you can't fault the logic behind it all.

3-port valve looks pretty corroded - 3rd pic above. Try and push the lever from Auto to Man and it just flops about, no resistance whatsoever. Sure it should make that whirring noise that they do? Current valve is a Tower MP3-28C. Quite used to Tower tbh but thinking maybe switch to Honeywell as they seem "the" name for quality etc. Any other make to consider? Cheers

Extend, EWI?

What's the method then to finish off around the Geberit flush plate box? Possibly should have grouted first before I snapped the projecting plastic wings? Could have left the bottom bit a bit longer possibly... Do I just grout around the edges of the box when I do the rest of the grouting?

Hello & welcome, it's good 'ere!

Take a better photo of the label on the pcb and all the numbers etc on the board around it. There's people on here will take great delight in scouring the interweb thingy for a circuit diagram!

Guessing it'll end on a cliffhanger...

Actually enjoyed tiling tonight which is a first! Bought myself a set of digital, Salter kitchen scales for £15 to exactly measure the adhesive. Much more consistent.

We both post, me a few seconds after you and start with "Indeed". I hadn't read your post. That's spooky!

Indeed! Smacks of possibly something more than the second guy was letting on.

Usually a reason why things like that a cheap. Insurance assessor etc had picked up it needs £5K worth of "new chains" or something + fitting. I once saw a TS18 Spider sold to the scrappy for a few hundred quid!

Ah yes, I remember the the tramadol / naproxen combo, bliss! Had my disc go twice over the years. I remember longing for a picture rail to hang onto when I was crawling round the walls. Walking, walking and more walking keeps the issue at bay pretty much by I guess tightening the old internal "corset" muscles.

Help with kitchen renovation/ 1st house.

That light fitting is unlikely to be anything other than: x2 Earth (cpc) x2 Neutral x1 SWITCHED live (line) That single red & earth is sold as a "switch wire" for two way switching etc. Can you see if that single red is coming out at the ceiling? Guessing there is a 2nd light switch somewhere, maybe boarded over or God forbid plastered in. Whatever, I'd just connect the new light to the connector block and be done with it. -
Yep I know. Probably be done well before but might hold off using until he's back. Once the bathrooms done then I need to think about clearing & breaking the concrete floor up in the adjacent room where the stairs are. Then digging down a foot or so like I did the bathroom (that was actually deeper) fitting a manifold under the stairs and ducts for UFH in the floor for when I do all the adjacent rooms. At the mo there's no UFH in the bathroom, the towel rad also will be on the wall but not connected as that'll come off the eventual manifold too.

I get to use the wc first! Hopefully shower will be up and running for when my lad is back from uni.

I'd have asked for a discount from her there and then based on the implication that without GD in the frame she clearly wasn't fussed about the design being right!

I'm guessing load the "gap" with CT1, nut it up, baby wipe and let set. Really load it, as in cover the area of porcelain at the back of the pan rather than just a thick bead around the edge? Then finish off with a replaceable as and when, quality white silicon? Cheers
