I'll cut a new one.

I've had some success with a 4:1 sharp sand or ballast / cement mix made up with neat SBR.

A lapse in concentration brought on by the thought of @pocster pm'ing offensive JPEGs meant I dropped the L shaped tile bottom right of the reveal: What you can't see is that this is post breakage! Thanks to a clean break & the power of mitre bond the repair is nigh on invisible. Excess glue taken off with a new Stanley blade. Fingers pointing at the two breaks: Yes, I could cut a new tile but considering the other various faux pas will I get away with it?

If you were an engine you'd be over bored!

It's yours when I've finished with it!

MAJOR electrical issues in 5 year old house - any ideas?

Sad as it sounds a vast number of cus / dis boards get thrown in but nobody bothers to check the manufacturers terminal within are properly tightened! -
If you lay plastic sheet like dpm to the back of any timber you use for shuttering it should release easier. Generally you can peel off the plastic for a super smooth finish too.

I've used this lots Liquid Granite that you mix with water and its superb. Reckon their 2 pack New Crete then should be good too: https://www.img-limited.co.uk/product/new-crete/

One of the Scots lads on here in sure kitted out his holiday let with "quality" appliances from shopping around on Gumtree, eBay, Preloved etc. I did the same with my bathroom. All the Geberit stuff; wc frame(s), wall drain, wall drain cover, flush plate (s) bought second-hand but new in the box or end of line. Same with the body dryer. Bargains to be had. Not so sure I'd want a second hand oven unless there was a good story behind it. Deffo not a used wc however cheap! Of course no g'tee either. Recently bought an immaculate 1440p Dell monitor on Preloved for £200 vs £400 new. Guy was upgrading as he preferred an IPS to a TN panel

Alba make JCB power tools as I understand. I believe the name use is a licencing deal.

I do know roughly in what direction the laundry bin is to throw clothes at. I think we have a washing machine too somewhere... A fairy brings the over stuffed linen bin downstairs occasionally...

A bit like the Evolution chop saws! Great for sheds & stud walls but no good for fine woodworking or through housings.
-
I need to feel I've done everything I possibly can and I'm not there yet! Will probably knock up a bit of brake line in a U shape to slip over a standard mastic nozzle.

Just got a new, Honeywell V4073A1088 mid position valve. Paid £60.

One on Gumtree, in Hull for £350. Brand new apparently...

Not even in jest please! If I get a leak through these corner pockets I'll be filling up the stud walls behind It's why I'm so worried about these trims. Still not clear which way to go now. Applying CT1 from the rear (somehow) seems half sensible as it should ooze through any gaps at the front.
-
Tbh you only need one drill for steel, a 6mm Starrett HsCo pilot drill. It'll drill most steel straight off with no messing. No good if you want a hole smaller than 6mm! Good in wood but useless in brick, stone etc!
-
Kylie? I should be so lucky!
-
You no understand! The trims are just mitre bonded on. No CT1 as yet. Will my idea of CT1 from the rear work? Ta

Nick said to stick trims on first with mitre bond.

Onoff has just had two Neurofen and no beer. Day consisted of: Emptied/loaded the dishwasher. Cleared some leaves. Did the n/s ball joint on the Golf / cut one piece of ply to support the tiles over the window. Wet cut one tile for the bottom rhs of the window. Broke that bit of trim off. Then respite home, hospital, Co- op & home. Living the dream! Only the thought of Jodie Whittaker shortly is keeping me going!
-
I ran a thick bead of mitre bond up/along the tile edge then sprayed activator on the back of the trim before pressing it on. Stuck myself to it half a dozen times!
-
Wondering if I could fit some form of bendy nozzle and squirt CT1 in from the rear. Thinking I've done these trims all wrong. I should have made them up as a 4 sided frame, mitre bonded at the joins. Then set the whole lot in CT1. Live and learn!

I quite like the Bosch multi construction bits. We deliberately did "the test" at work on a lump of timber, paving slab then steel plate. Coped admirably tbh though not so sure once they lose their edge. Dead handy to have one set in the leccy bag, another in the plumbing tote etc.
