Tbh this green stuff forms like a skin I could peel off. If there's any of that in the internals I can't see hot water shifting it. I think SWMBO attempted to clean it last. The pot probably had a little water in it and that's set up a lovely corrosive atmosphere. The paint pot screws onto a black cowl in the picture above. The cowl is held onto the rest of the gun by 4 fixings that are so corroded I don't know whether they're cross head screws or rivets. I'll compare with the other gun. Might have to Dremmel some slots if I can't get grips on what's left of the screws. Not got high hopes for it, time could be better spent elsewhere but I like a challenge, hate throwing things away and it keeps me out of the house!

Not sure if I have the hump.

Forum Ts & Cs seem fair enough. Read it that copyright remains that of the posting member but in posting we grant licence to BH to use as they see fit? -
Wasn't the Aldi one of the same vintage of this spray gun? I had one bought for me as a present. One day it went "bang", more a mechanical than electrical bang and I consigned it to the "repair one day" draw.

@Weebles thread on the CURRENT Aldi offering made me dig this old one out bought for peanuts from Aldi back in the day. Used last many years ago to spray 300' of close boarded fence. Seem to recall we thinned down the water based shed & fence treatment and ran it through the viscosity cup. It worked but was a bit "drippy". No big deal in the garden. This was completely green until I started cleaning it up half hour ago: Plugging it in it now and it just hums but seem to recall it made much more noise beforehand, like a "clatter". Presume the electromagnet drives a piston pump? Around the same time Screwfix were doing a seemingly identical model which I also bought but never used. Pic from one on Gumtree: Assuming this one works I can compare the working "workings" etc. Might attempt to use the new one to do my cheapo bathroom doors. Also appears the design was branded as Power Devil. Might pick up a Lidl one tomorrow.

Discount Offers of the Week

Probably no worse the the Aldi/Lidl offerings. 42Nm torque is useful enough: https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/deals/cordless-electric-drill-amazon -
Artex? Or a similar stipple effect, maybe roller applied. It'd be right at home with a 70's classic I the garage!

All up and running with the new stat. Didn't take a pic of how it fitted inside beforehand but something like this I think:

3 sided mdf "box" against the wall, as high as the telly, painted to match walls. Getting a duck vibe.....

Hypothetically what sort of area & depth would a lake need to be, to get reasonable performance numbers from a GSHP? Half thinking of people with sloping sites. Would it be worth berming the lower end and creating a big "pond"? I know some on here have lakes already and are planning a GSHP, others have dug ponds. Presumably the pipes have to be insulated from the point of entry into said body of water and some distance in to it too? Fascinating. -
Plasterboarding on yer lonesome ....

I fitted sound bloc on my own. Bloody heavy, I laid the boards horizontal. @recoveringacademic, a board lifter is good to have if you haven't already got one: https://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-panel-board-carrier-950130 -
Bath Surround / Boxing In, and concealed pipework

I said to SWMBO earlier: "I just went to the loo and washed my hands in the new sink!" I had to clarify. -

I only really stuck it up so it can come down again to fit a thermal blind later. Yes, still dolphins. -

Christ knows whether this'll work but I've stuck the cheapo blind brackets on! Didn't want to open a new tube of CT1 so used some Sticks Like Sh!t. Whether it'll work...
