  1. I'm a bit anal even about the plastic pipes I can't see being straight! All hidden now:
  2. Using Hep2O is a doddle tbh. DON'T FORGET THE PIPE INSERTS! Push fit, whether Hep2O or JG Speedfit can look a bit untidy if the pipes are on show.
  3. 3000 photos later I've finished my bathroom. Helped at every turn by the good folk on here: Probably best start at page 31 and work forward in time...
  4. You could build it on a base that would float upwards. Maybe with some tethers or 4 retaining posts that it slides up within.
  5. Had BT here twice adopt their default position of first suggesting their tests indicate the fault is within my property and only attending site if I agreed to £150 or whatever charge should this be the case. Subsequently found to be 2km away from the exchange etc. Both times I emailed them after having done IR tests from where their cable terminates high on the wall to the master socket.
  6. They're punching themselves in the wallet afaiac!
  7. Might be an invention of my own mind but whenever I'm in a group of guys and some have Apple devices, I seem to have issues connecting to the shared router. When the Apple guys aren't in and it's just lads with Android I seem to connect fine. Almost as if Apple somehow takes precedence.
  8. You might try dropping the cover plate in a cup of boiling water to soften things then pushing it on whilst still hot.
  9. Vaseline, KY, Durex Play...
  10. Try some silicon grease or similar lubricant. A dab of Mr Sheen at a push.
  11. Does it just slide off?
  12. Are there two cover plates, one for the mixer and one for the spout and you've them the wrong way round?
  13. Try undoing in the other direction. Might be opposite thread.
  14. Careful you match the gloss level. 30% gloss can look completely different to 60%.
  15. Does the black bit not just unscrew?
  16. Presumably you could cover an OSB roof with a tarp thinking you were doing the right thing if it was going to say rain but then get screwed by condensation under the tarp making everything damp?
  17. Are too. Still, we don't have to pay through the nose for the privilege of being disorganised. (More can't than don't... ).
  18. If you're on BT and you have neighbours who are too, you should be able to get on line with a device by connecting to I think "BT With Fon" or something like that this bypassing your possibly conflicting system. You have to input your username and password. Just look for the one with most bars. Or just change your router channel via your browser: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14094/~/how-do-i-change-the-wi-fi-channel-on-my-bt-hub%3F My money's on it being a Crapple issue! ?
  19. No sorry, that gravy train has stopped running. That was random in that I bought a welder for £69.99 I think it was and as a thank you they offered me a £10 voucher if I recommended a friend who placed an order. Think I had about £130 in vouchers in the end. I just bought more stuff! I know the compressor ended up only costing me just £29.99. A downside to this is that on a particular, small value, 4 item order, only two items turned up. I ended up being blacklisted by Hermes I think it is with every delivery requiring our physical presence to receive goods. Never did get to the bottom of it.
  20. This one? Still online: https://www.aldi.co.uk/chrome-spiral-kitchen-mixer-tap/p/095669298097300
  21. I had 3 BT Home Hub 3s die on me. The Home Hub 4 had been far better and lasted touch wood.
  22. Snubber? Maplin used to be the easiest place to get them. Something like this. https://cpc.farnell.com/ampohm-wound-products/fe-sp-hdr23-100-100/contact-suppressor-0-1uf-100r/dp/FT00715 Or a ferrite bead over the cable: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Split-Ferrite-Ferrit-for-Cable-6-9mm-Gray-Mains-Filter-Emi-RF-Filter-Clamp-Grey/171851671264?
  23. What's that accent, South African?
  24. Your insulation isn't continuous between wall and floor. I think that will give potential cold bridging issues. Cleverer people will confirm.

    Gate Pillars

Flint walls are very common and in keeping here, churches etc. These panels though will have special, sentimental significance. The wife inherited, if that's the correct word, her late cousins geological collection of fossils and rocks. I've about 5 crates of flint he'd collected seeing some significance in each piece.
