i'm surprised at these well insulated floor/wall sections, yet they all show no thermal break in the inner leaf. are you saying they are now building two single leafs and not using ties or is it just the basalt ones?

SPN supplied red ducting, both 100mm x 2, 'just in case of something happening in the future' to cross the road and 30 something to go from 100mm to pole and to meter box was required and used. this question was, however, from meter at boundary where it is staying to house and beyond.
-
morning all, i've been told elec supply to house needs to be ducted in 100mm duct from supply at boundary to house. i keep being told this is a new reg but nobody seems to have heard of it. water and power going in tomorrow and if i don't need to duct it i'll save a good bit of money. thanks all edit to say, that after a few phone calls to various scottish power numbers, they don't need it ducted, just cabled to a depth where it won't be dug in the garden, just as i thought. i appreciate being given advice on site but i wish it was accurate. pulled out of tailspin and back to relative calm!

unfortunately the scottish system is now very similar, at least until you've signed the missives.

hi Guys, i've been told that there is now a maximum distance for the electrical connection to the treatment tank, it was mentioned from the mains, 5m was mentioned but the tanks should be further. contacting building control to check but thought i'd get a better, more accurate and faster answer here. i didn't want to place the tank to find the regs have changed. cheers

I-Beam/I-Joist First Floor hanging Air tightness
Simplysimon replied to Patrick's topic in Timber Frame
alternatively put the air tight layer on the outside - egger dhf, blown cellulose and osb inside with vcl layer if not using something like smartply. -
i take it the windows don't get opened very often?
