4G 'light' pipe wanted - how to get 4G inside?

Is that not called a register plate. In my basic reading, researching for a brick chimney for a timber hut, the register plate is often bespoke and made for each application. As far as I understood, this makes up the horizontal plate which provides a fireproof barrier above the stove AND takes the weight of the structure above. They are normally made of thick steel with a hole cut to accept the stove flue. I guess being (expletive deleted) off thick steel, it's no problem to mount any type of chimney liner on top. No expert, and, not sure I understand but my tuppence worth if it helps?

Damn, damn, damn: I have just realised

Bottle jack would move it too as long as it's got something to push against...you might not have enough room to swing a sledgehammer as per @PeterW suggestions -
There should be some visqueen scraps kicking around which would do the job. Visqueen is thick plastic damp proofing seen everywhere on a build ?

@JSHarris our resident chemist will tell you how to get some, or make some and if your lucky how to not make an explosion while making some.

Nope, stray blade of grass there...messing up the magazine shot. Poor performance if you know...?

Connecting monobloc flexi tails to a butterfly isolator
Tennentslager replied to LeanTwo's topic in General Plumbing
Yup...up to you. Here's one with a tap connector but needed in this application because of the type of valve I used. You could maybe run a file over the end of the fitting mating up with the washer. @Nickfromwales will be along shortly for an expert opinion ? -
Connecting monobloc flexi tails to a butterfly isolator
Tennentslager replied to LeanTwo's topic in General Plumbing
Re-read this...answer is yes. Bin the compression nut from one end of the valve and screw on the flexi tail which achieved the seal via a rubber washer. Hand tight then quarter turn only...don't cut into the washer. -

Good luck in your endeavours no matter what house you end up with. I reckon your the sort of dad who will be have your girls back and I'm sure she'll appreciate a hand to get her started. The chaps on here aren't usually insensitive and may have missed the bit about walking to work... Come back with questions if you take the plunge, lots of quality advice. Best of luck

What are you trying to achieve? What state are the floor joists? Is there a vented underfloor? You mentioned UFH ...is it to insulate the floor?

What a good looking build. Builders have a rough Highland look too, beardy and relaxed...can't wait to see the next floor/ truss go in
