  1. Hmmm...maybe Carbeth has the best of both worlds. No connection to speak of...but...if you stand on one corner of the new balcony, 2 strong bars! (As long as you do the airplane on,/off trick)
  2. But it's got a roof on it!
  3. It is complicated but hey that's the fun.? The weather comes from the opposite direction to the opening so I'm sure it'll be good. Not as sure about storing hundreds of squids worth of kit in the tool store but in a full year of stuff lying about the site not a single thing has sprouted legs... It is well sheltered too. Big for trees and 2m high bush everywhere.
  4. Yes welcome Jonathan Some pics would be nice...
  5. I'm thinking of putting this shed in the corner of the plot so that it marks the boundary (we are in the middle of a wood) and faces into the garden. I've an idea of having a covered decking area with sheds on either side, giving a outdoor work place or maybe somewhere nice to sit. Tool store idea is to have two doors with plenty hanging space and a shelved area inside. Roof is plain (felted) and slopes back from the front to the rear. Happy to rethink...any comments? 6. Sounds like a proper shed to me...You won't regret it in 10 years time?
  7. Now you've started the hare running Barney...might be more than one contender for that title?
  8. My local budget bathroom place has an identical bath for 500 squids...but says it's 5mm thick instead of the 12mm from your guys. http://www.wholesaledomestic.com/sandringham-1750-double-ended-slipper-bath#.V0IMmOBwZiI
  9. Yes I saw it too. *Landward* is a rural affairs programme on BBC Scotland for those who dinne know?
  10. I'm building a timber holiday hut in the Carbeth hutting community. We're on the West Highland Way just north of Glasgow. The hut is all but complete and now I realise my hut needs a shed. Planning an L shaped footprint with a tool store one end and a bike shore at the other. In the middle (the corner of the L) I'll have a covered area for chopping wood/ outdoor work. Drawings to follow.
  11. Looks great Dave, very crisp. In fact it's almost like one of those CGI things you get on a marketing brochure for a new developments. The render won't go all green or stained like some stuff I've seen around Glasgow?
  12. I'm glad the Master of Ale is back. King of one liners he is too...
