  1. Nothing wrong with that
  2. Nice job, hope you enjoy your lovely home
  3. Yes I tried those. Basically the basin waste was one of those that you could not close to fill the sink so changed that to a UK captive type. Then I thought I will use the pipework (cheap/tacky that it was) and this would not connect to the uk captive waste, similar to @Onoffso at this point just chucked the lot out and used uk set up.
  4. I have just had a similar problem with my Geberit vanity unit and in the end I binned all the fittings from the basin waste and supplied traps/pipework ( it is a double vanity) and bought a horizontal narrow drop trap and uk pipework
  5. I have had thoughts like that on numerous occasions, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  6. I feel your pain but we did our waste pipes the same as you but terminated a metre from the house and put 3 x 2 vertically so it just stuck out of the ground a little bit. We put 100mm duct in for the water so it was easier to pull the 32mm pipe through. I am offering examples of how we did it to help people, we made plenty of other mistakes I can assure you!
  7. What is the black box with the gauges on please?
  8. Mate of mine built an extension and decided to make a small hole at joists level to find the level of the old house joists so he could match the new ones. He did not want to open up to the old house until as late in the build as possible to avoid all the mess/dust in the old bit. He asked his Mrs to make a mark on the other side of the wall to fix his joists to, only trouble was he was working to the bottom of the level and she was working to the top so when he knocked through the new joist was approx 50mm higher than the old joists!
  9. Could not agree more, opposite walls and never wet corners.
  10. Read all the Internorm threads. Most people love the quality but finding the right company/installation crew are paramount. If you have to deal with Internorm themselves prepare for a NIGHTMARE.
  11. +1 to that, my wife, son and me are all self taught. It's good fun, especially when your turn it in its side
  12. We liked Norsken but they could not do the size of sliders we required. We liked the built in insect screen that was hidden in the frame that you just pulled across when the the door was open
  13. Yes you are right but at no point did I get an apology from Internorm. We all make mistakes but my Internorm experience was a complete joke.
  14. We had the same delays on ours. What date we were working to was not what Internorm was working to. By the end you will laugh at their incompetence as it really is astonishing. We had a trim delivered from Internorm with our name and post code on it, nothing else and when I contacted Internorm London to chase up said trim they said it had been delivered. As luck would have it I had the item number that I could trace back and found out it had been returned to Austria as no house could be found, this happened once more after this even after I told every man and his dog involved with Internorm our full address, and yes I am bald!!
  15. All glued down, be a real pain but thanks anyway
  16. Internorm equals stress I'm afraid. I know exactly how you are feeling, all I can say I hope you get sorted as my installation is not finished 3 years after the initial install.
  17. When the floor cassettes were installed in my timber frame, some of the sound insulation got trapped between the joists and osb floor and created an uneven floor. I need to level this floor out before I lay my engineered oak floor. This uneven area is only in one corner so should make it relatively easy to flatten. I also need to overlay the OSB with 9mm plywood to overcome tiling heights in the bathroom and thus propose to take the plywood as far as I can and then use a SLC to level the area which is very uneven. I have some Mapei Primer G but not sure this can be used to prime OSB and I tried to ring Mapei today but they are not answering calls due to Covid. Can I use SBR or does anybody know a good primer for OSB? Once I have primed I will also put some screws into the OSB to give some extra grip for the leveling compound.TIA
  18. My brother lives in America and has done for 30+ years. He has just the re-fitted his utility room and all they do over there is stack the washer/dryer and put the wet laundry into the dryer every time. They do not hang washing out and do not seem bothered about the consequences of their actions
  19. Didn't do Latin mate
  20. Too many strange words. KISS
  21. Mine are free
  22. Funny thing is I will behaving four in my build ?
  23. Why didn't you say that first time!
  24. Not sure whatever language it is in I will understand it. I have a mate who does the tech for me. My son just looks at me in disgust when he tries to explain it to me
