  1. Sorry bud but no where near - years off
  2. I bought a 3t Kubota and have never regretted it. When I asked on here, someone posted "it's the difference from something taking 5 minutes or 5 hours". I paid just under 12k with delivery and I've never regretted it for a second. So far it's dug all my foundations, service pipework, foul drainage and lifted all my concrete floor beams around my site and roughly into place. I've still got the rain drainage including water harvesting tanks to dig but intend to keep it until I've finished everything as it's come in so handy to lift and move ton bags too All I would say is don't under estimate how log it might take to get used to the controls, experts make them look easy!!!!!!
  3. nope, only on the joins between pours and to make lintels
  4. SE said I needed 600 bars every 600, 300 in and 300 poking out
  5. That's very true. The sales people tell you what a great well insulated window it is and then I've seen fitters leave big gaps and then cover them with trim So what's involved with fitting windows/doors and making sure they're sealed up nicely?
  6. Is there any way of cooling if you're not using an ASHP?
  7. Got some prices back - madly expensive IMO, cheapest basic one starts at £995 + VAT, going up to £3350 + VAT.
  8. Can't believe they've got that cheap :O
  9. head height is the issue for a lot of lifts though and certainly my issue. Maybe we should start a new post for us weekend mechanics cos this post for neat ideas is such a useful one
  10. I've messaged them for some prices
  11. what do you use to cover the pit?
  12. Exactly what happened using explorer, date and time were ancient and causing the problem
  13. Got a friend who fits alarms for a living and I'm sure he swears buy them as trouble free alarms
  14. How come screws are a no-no?
  15. Here you go https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-97-04-TOUR-04-10-FULLY-TAILORED-BOOT-TRAY-MAT-PVC-PLASTIC-101504/163322120751?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  16. I just received mine today, found them for £10 brand new delivered :O
  17. Was it a case of too much concrete at once? The only reason I ask that is Polarwall and a pump guy I was chatting to, both said that you don't pump in one place, you keep going round and round and layer the concrete. That gives the concrete time to start going off and also why the mix has to be so specific. All the air vents are in (have been for a couple of months) but I'm doing doorways at the moment hence this post. How's it going...........................don't ask!!! lol I'm jealous that you've already done a pour!! lol
  18. Doubt I'll be having bi-folds cos of the related issues, probably a slider and a french door. Yeah I saw Russell's post but just have to hope I don't get the same issue
  19. Building in ICF but yeah the vent would be under the sill. What happens if I want a raised patio area at the back of the house, that would mean having to get rid of a few
  20. Just wondered if there was a way of having an air vent (telescopic in my case) with a level door threshold?
  21. Mine will be about 2.5m
  22. steel fixings are surely just lots of cold bridges too?
  23. no idea but thought you could get all channels with Kodi
