Thanks, I'll get one ordered up
-
So this is handy for mixing smaller amounts of mortar well?
-
I just don't get how any trade can up their bill without speaking to you first. If you have a tight budget, where would they expect you to get their extra money???
-
you can just bring it back with Toolstation and get a refund or just bring the core cutter in store and try it, don't think the staff would care too much if you wanted to make sure it screwed in

You're underground what did you expect ?

if you're looking for the scaff company to give advice/recommend what you need, course they won't mate, they won't wan't the liability issues if anything ever goes wrong -
any comeback on surveyor that missed something

yep, just pass on the buck to someone else, while covering their arse -
Is that for noise or fire regs?

I wondered about flexible adhesive, would that not do the job......

If you're a complete bricky newbie, consider buy the bricky tool - makes getting the mortar beds so so easy
-
just an option but you could always double up on the mortice lock. I did that on my current house and a locksmith can supply the lock made to your current key, so one key does both locks

I would think carefully about the spa option and if you'll actually use it. I one fitted in my bath and I regret it. I hardly use it and it just becomes a place for dirt to sit (in the pipework) and also for limescale to form from the jets - so you have to keep on top of cleaning the limescale! I only put mine on now to clean out the pipework...............

How Long Should Structural Calcs Take

You're absolutely right, the communication issue was they never got back to me until I kicked up a stink and then rushed everything to make a feeble attempt to get the job done lol -

one of the worst experiences I've had is with S.E's, took nearly 2 years to get correct details, so many mistakes I was picking up on, it became an absolute joke -
wondered the same thing

Easier to get everything in writing even though it's your dad - you never know when you both might have a new neighbour...................
-
Surely the timeline doesn't work out? the BCO would have only been there AFTER it was dug out. The builder obviously hasn't dug as you asked or you'd see the evidence of it being fully dug out. I think as Nod mentioned, he's done it so it's easier for him to build..........................

Did you fit as you got them up or got them all up and then fitted?
-
That's a bit of a concern. I was told that sliders would be made to measure, so I didn't know there was an issue with anything over 2.4m

Neighbour used and abused us. Damage to roof etc.
Vijay replied to Tina's topic in Building Regulations
do you know the owners rather than the builders? -
I'm more annoyed at the fact they couldn't care less, I guess I expect more from them when there's an issue

Exactly why I why told to stick to per floor pours too

Well that's the last time I pay my invoice before it's due. BM are trying to say it's my fault that the timbers have twisted and I should have reported it within 48 hours - after I'd used my crystal ball! They've not asked how I've stored them, but blamed how I've stored them ? Amex will happily deal with it as they are not fit for purpose if they haven't even survived 2 weeks

These guys have helped me with an odd door handle before https://www.windowparts.co.uk/

Also look at Polarwall for curved walls
