  1. That looks a lot stronger than most of the balustrades I have seen. Most are cheap wooden posts held on with a couple of screws and maybe some glue.
  2. Have a look at https://adaptavate.com/ they have a range breathable and insulated plasters made in Bristol.
  3. To make a nail gun work reliably you need to be able to strip it down completely, lubricant and reassemble. Plenty of YouTube video to help you and you tne correct lube, not just WD40. Gas can be an issue in cold weather, pop it in a mug of tea. I have a Paslode IM350. They are not toys, don’t lend to anyone and where safety glasses. They are noisey so wear protection if inside or doing a lot of nailing. They will save you hours and build up the arm muscles.
  4. It’s a listed building, so that might be very difficult or expensive.
  5. That's quite a wide temperature range and I would suspect that this is not a "true" aquifer which should be 10-15C the whole year round.
  6. I agree, he has saved my clients £1,000s.
  7. If you have any questions a free call to Andrew Jones (https://www.vat431.co.uk/) is worth doing. BTW VAT claims are now done one line and you don't need to send in invoices unless requested to.
  8. I have been following your approach and solution to UFH with interest over the years. What is the slab temperature over the same period? Do you get jaggies or does the mass smooth it out?
  9. It stands for Canadian Lumber Standard
  10. Aerogel is not flexible or affordable for this application.
  11. I would consider Foamed Glass, then concrete with UFH - https://www.mikewye.co.uk/product-category/brands/geocell-foam-glass/
  12. I would suggest that you have a CO2 monitor to check that the air is good 24/7 as CO2 is very insipid. You’re very unlikely to die, just have a bad headache with high (2500+ ppm) CO2 levels.
  13. You can probably make more money producing hydrogen than selling electricity to the grid. Electric cables are very expensive to install to connect to the grid and the output is unpredictable on a daily basis, on an annual basis it's a lot better.
  14. BC very rarely signs off or even visits developers site. I think it should be mandatory.
  15. Frigate which is an open source NVR built around real-time AI object detection.
  16. I have used this - https://thepihut.com/products/coral-usb-accelerator
  17. "As the OP we have always slept with bedroom window open and are at the beginning of the design stage of our self-build. I think the 'air quality of MVHR', 'you will get used to it' etc. comments won't wash with us." This is not hearsay, a myth or a legend - the air quality, and in particular CO2 levels, are always far more important than temperature
  18. It could have cost you £18K+ if they weren't reduced!
  19. Tempaper, Chasing Paper, and WallPops have peel-and-stick removable wallpaper options.
  20. Some smart switches without a neutral wire may use a technique called "neutral looping." This involves passing a small current through the load, which can be enough to power the smart switch without compromising the functionality of the connected devices.
  21. @Rog1 Welcome to BH, full of knowledge and fun + humour. I’m building in Hampshire, near Andover
  22. This one might have a low force - https://quietswitch.com/products/quietswitch-quiet-pull-cord-switch-for-better-sleep
  23. It would be good if you could post some photos of the house and plans. Where in the UK are you located? Are you totally signed off with BC. Did you have a main contractor? 372 sqm is a large house.
