  1. Put a sheet of plastic on a path/road, few cones etc get ready mix dumped onto plastic and then barrow away, much easier way of doing it
  2. I’d prefer standard 13 amp sockets single gang protected by their own RCBO. also gives the trades an area to charge cordless tools again all on 13 amp plugs. pretty much all 110volt transformers are on a 13 amp plug that you would be carting out from the back of the van.
  3. I was £900 for my soil survey, foundation, wall, roof design from the SE.
  4. An ideal product for those who have big beards, trousers that are short above the ankle and wear no socks when going out...
  5. Agree but good installation practices are to insulate pipework
  6. Gas Boiler at home serviced once a year too by gas safe engineers keep system operational Keep system safe I even get the car serviced!
  7. We get our commercial fridges serviced, to ensure there is no leaks, seals are ok, handles are ok, parts oiled that need to be no damage to a- z, electrical checks etc i also get my air conditioning at work serviced, so just cause you have an ASHP doesn’t mean it doesn’t need serviced. ofcouse you can buy anything any not service it but that’s a decision you make
  8. Yeah. Someone said that on the last page ?
  9. I would insulate every pipe. cold pipes to minimise condensation, hot pipes to keep the energy in the pipe. if I want to heat a room, I will design a heating system not rely on uninsulated pipes. i will also have pipes running parallel and suitably spaced off the wall to allow for insulation and the time of installation.
  10. In the current climate send a generic email to all the local builders merchants asking for an account. im sure you will get a reply some merchants even have a pricing offer, send them drawings they will work out how much flooring, timber etc is required , just a way for them to win the work.
  11. Get a second quote, you can get a private utility company to do the work , following the local electricity company specifications. depending on what they have to connect to to energise the supply company may have to do the point of connection, they may not
  12. Buy them in bent, life is too short to be messing about trying to bend rebar.
  13. What about a hydrogen boiler
  14. Watch the video I sent a little while ago it explains all
  15. Best get the current set up working first before the diverter is added into the mix, further complicating the set up/ energy consumption tracking process
  16. Do you need the water to be 55deg? like many others I set mine to the high 40’s I dislike paying to heat water then adding excessive cold water to mix to a desired temp. maybe ask the manufacturer a question about the Legionella, invade it’s another parameter hidden away in engineer mode
  17. As you say it could be that the ASHP doesn’t reach the correct temperature but it’s still trying unnecessarily legionella in a domestic situation with healthy turnover of water isn’t an issue turn it off.
  18. Looks like a clone of a heatmiser
  19. Hard wired either from a local lighting circuit or an independent circuit
  20. Linking smoke detectors requires a 3 core and earth between each smoke detector with a mains supply to the first one. alternatively you can just supply each smoke detector with a local supply and buy wireless bases for each to communicate.
  21. The installers were on price work, it’s to be expected ( unfortunately)
  22. Something waterproof ?
