Thanks. I am pretty sure its ducted but will give the rod a go. We had wasps in that airbrick last summer. What if i did something like the this pic with an Aco corner unit (or similar) running round the airbrick - would this be an option ? Thanks

the building you see in the pic is an extension. Built before we moved in. It has a concrete floor which I am sure of the older part of the building is suspended timber flooring so I assume there is some ducting from the air bricks into the older part of the house

2 air bricks are affected

Hi I’m just in process of digging up for a new patio. Ive started levelling out to 2 bricks under the dpc but trying to work out what best to do with these air bricks at the back. if I fit my aco drain it will come roughly half way up the air brick. Will this cause any issues in air circulation or given the fact there is some air flowing through it should be ok? Pic attached

I’m having a re-roof and installing PV. Andy advice on brand of tile to get? currently I have rosemary’s on a 1930s house - semi. And noticed a few leaks which I have had to deal with. Now decided to take the jump and reroof while having the PVs im after a flat plain grey tile. I’ve had recommendations for crest tiles or mini stone walls. What I don’t understand is that the crest is 5kg each and mini stone are under 2kg?? Same size what do you guys advice for ?

This might sound like a daft question so please bear with me !!! I had my UFH commissioned a few months and so far loving it. I’ve been trying to understand gas usage and how that differs if different zones are on? Currently we have 4 zones but given we are usually in just one zone most of the day, that one is on most of the time. the problem comes when child no1 wants to go and play in another room - it’s cold and takes a while to heat up. So my question is - if I just whack all zones on all at the same time, does that use more gas or does it just use the same amount of gas and flow is restricted as it’s going to more places so takes longer to heat. i an not technical and prob a daft question so just wanted to know!! thanks

Hi Hope this is the right place for this Got an issue with the waste pipe from shower and bath in that the waste water (not poo or pee) will travel down the pipe and just overflow where it is positioned on the gulley and thus floods the garden. The drain is running fine by the way and not blocked. video attached which probably explains a a lot better. But been getting different advice from the trades - one guy quoted £300 to sort whereas another just said get a 45d bend and you will be done any suggestions ? IMG_0781.MOV
