My dad is refurbishing a bathroom at a property he has. He wishes to fit a full back to wall toilet but the water supply is not close enough to the waste pipe to allow toilet to fit. Any ingenious ideas of how to make this work. Obvious answer I gave was dig the floor up and extend pipework to suit. This will obviously end up with a joint in the floor screed (compression likely as he won't solder).

I'm in NI and BC didn't ask me for anything with regards electrics and getting sign off. I was a little bemused by this.

On a different note is that stuff airtight when compressed. Thinking of a DIY secondary loft hatch above the ladder trap door.

Tall ceilings = tall windows and doors?
vfrdave replied to Conor's topic in New House & Self Build Design
I have all doors and windows set at 2100 with ceiling height approx 2800 and it is fine. -
When I Google that it brings up lots of options. Do you have a link to the product you use, I always like a tried and tested product fire these sort of things.

Mikrotik LTE antenna is what seems to be the choice around here in NI for 4G installs. Considering getting one myself instead of my current wimax solution. -
I don't think I need an ACO as there will be a slight ramp to meet the threshold. Grounds finishes not decided yet though.

I don't think so, there are anchors on the underside buried in the concrete

Was thinking maybe to use something like this product https://silverhook.co.uk/filler/Big-Boy-Filler-Metal-250-ml-250ml But have no experience of it. Would it be suitable as a build up medium?

It is a sectional door and there is already a rubber strip on the bottom of it. It won't compress enough in the middle to allow for the irregularity at the side.

I put some angled steel at the car door thresholds of my garage to create a rebate in the floor for the door to seal in to. Unfortunately the guys that put the floor in didn't ensure the steel was level. I now have a gap underneath some of my garage door which I wish to rectify. Any suggestions what I could build up the steel with that will weather the elements and car traffic. Area in question can be seen in picture to the right of yellow mark. Thanks in advance.

Hikvision do a fairly decent one for £300, it is modular and you add the components you wish. -
Timber Brise Soleils
vfrdave replied to Conor's topic in Energy Efficient & Sustainable Design Concepts
What about composite rather than timber. I was in Ridgeway getting gabions and noticed they do composite decking and pergola type stuff.
