  1. Lucky it didn't topple into the house. Nasty bloody things!
  2. Look at the attention to detail and quality of some people's builds here! They ARE not going to be happy even if it is a cosmetic detail. I'm a rough bugger and I wouldn't!
  3. Steady with the euphemisms...family show and all that... Seriously, if the bulging doesn't affect the operation then all good. Better it bulges out than in and breaks something. It is though imo hugely annoying. At worst they'll lose potential customers to an alternative technology at best the customers might delay purchase until the issue is sorted. Must admit my first thought stemmed from dealing with swollen capacitors and lead acid batteries.....
  4. What about if you fit it?
  5. A lot of people won't have the dexterity/engineering acumen to carry out these mods if the installer hasn't. They shouldn't have to call the installer back or if they do Sunamp should pick up the tab. They need to sort this pdq or lose potential customers. @Barney12's experience suggests there's more to the issue maybe than just trimming.
  6. Dunno, searching for reviews I just found it cheaper than Wowcher: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/WiFi-Wireless-Video-Doorbell-8G-Two-Way-Talk-Smart-Door-Bell-Security-Camera-/183447548444?
  7. I wouldn't be happy with this. The problem I guess as an early adopter.
  8. If your meaning this: I may give up now! Never thought it'd be the tiling that let The Big Bathroom Build down!
  9. Is the irregular opening to the terrace glazed?
  10. Wi-Fi video doorbell on Wowcher: https://www.wowcher.co.uk/email-deals/shop/9431309/wifi-security-doorbell-34-99?
  11. First thing I thought was "2G door?" First thing SWMBO picked up on was the door style!
  12. Ah yes! The tiles coming up the overhang will need a chamfer to meet the trim properly: More fun will be this one: Still going to be left with "sharpish" corners on the trim here but better than it being 90deg.
  13. Get back to yer crimping!
  14. F***! Moment of panic, looked at tile 2 and aok. Thought "pi$$ taking git!" Then looked and realised tile 1 is the wrong way up!
  15. That seems a lot of work and not a lot to show and yes, they are long nose mole grips: There's a bit of ply these grey tiles sit on. It's covered in duct tape. Once set it comes off and the trim goes on to the tile edge. What compound cuts? Vague memory of a mention is this before...
  16. Just waiting for this primer to go tacky:
  17. I've had this with crap plugs (Maplin I think). Bought 100 from Screwfix & not had a problem.
  18. Just been out and cut off an overhanging branch from the cherry tree as sitting here having a cuppa, browsing the forum and a squirrel came down the tree outside. Think it came from my roof then down the tree. The tree's on borrowed time tbh ( overhanging the roof, lifting the patio etc) and this year was to be it's last but typically had the best fruit ever! Should I paint the cut end with something?
  19. All I'm reading is you have a length problem!
  20. This stuff is difenacoum, an indirect anticiagulant...works! Vitamin K1 is the antidote...
  21. Certainly ethylene glycol is denser than water so that's probably why it's quieter is my guess. Pump will probably consume a bit more power but hey ho!
  22. Ta, but do I scuff up / sand off the paint on the mrpb where I want to tile?
  23. Yep I thought that. Sill tile covers about 50% of a square: One awkward tile to cut then mixing up 'n layin' some!
  24. Just bought the stuff I want off eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30-x-100g-SACHETS-NEOSOREXA-GOLD-RAT-BAIT-RAT-POISON-PROFESSIONAL-GLOVES/112554663781? You have to wonder how they circumvent the licence regs?
  25. Going to get some on today! But will it look right @Nickfromwales, not having a full square at the bottom of the mosaics? Doing it "your" way as in backs on first.
