So how good is 0.47m3/m2.h in relation to the "0.25" figure quoted here?

So is "m3/m2.h" the same as "ac/h"?

I wonder what my bathroom would test at when finished... A few too many "openings" at the mo; conduit drops open to loft, wc pan "odour" take off to loft, wall drain with empty trap...
  5. Yep long run. 2.5m stock length plus another 435mm bit. Too late to mitre as the long length is stuck on. Another newbie mistake!
  6. That's about it. Shower riser to drill and fit, tiling in the cupboard might have to wait. Pocket lights to threadle up/down. Towel rad to go on & UFH...nowhere to connect them to at the mo...Body dryer...in but no supply as yet. Speaker and spot positions in loft to be better insulated. I'd like to get the door frame in asap but need to take the left hand wall back a bit. Pre-tiling but best shot of the doorway: Frame needs to go to the left. That brick needs to go and then be finished off. More chain drilling I reckon. Bastards, I'm going back outside to clean buckets after realising just how much more there is to do!
  7. I promised warts and all! Looking down the run it's this "out". Down the bottom I've to put 10mm of adhesive under the 7mm tile to get it at least a little better. In effect I'll get the tiles plumb from here on down. Anyone, how do you invisibly join this sort of trim? I don't want water going inside.

What happens now you achieved this enviable reading. Do you address the minor leaks and test again. Or do you just accept a brilliant result that can likely only get better? How low can it go? We could run a book on the result!

Me neither but they can get in through the big holes where the heat's getting out!

I think there should be a Top Gear style leader board. It'd give something for others to aspire to.

    Enjoyed reading that.
  15. A thread here ref cooling first link. It's @NSS who has glass that tints / darkens automatically (electrochromic?) linked to solar gain etc. Then the Sageglass thread:
  16. Welcome. I too have an oil boiler here and am shortly going to have to do something to get my as yet just one single UFH loop running. My place is a refurb, as I go, one room at a time type deal. The boiler here short cycles as it is enough but I think that's due to mutiple heat loss issues; unlagged pipes, plasterboard tent etc. A TS, buffer etc has been discussed for me before now. For now I'm just siting a manifold centrally in the house and working from there. Haven't got a clue on your problem but the brains of the collective here will be along shortly!
  17. And the faux pas' keep coming! Happy enough with these few: The 5 full tiles to the left are within a mm of the (white) wall so that's good. Finished the shallowest pocket bar the grouting. Trickier the I thought. The thicker grout lines between the mosaics might stand out when grouted: Didn't achieve the aimed for 1mm gap at the top either side. It's OK though down the sides and the sill. However..... Takes a deep breath.....from about here: The tile strip, above the bath pocket, is a bit out: And the other end: Which translates to a tile a 1/4" 'ish out: (Sounds so much better than 8mm.. ). So I'll have to kick the next tile down in a bit...quite a bit in fact. The trim there will be fun.
  18. 2 gang IP67 Quinetic switch will go somewhere here: One gang to dim downlights, the other to switch pocket lights and bath pocket strip on/off...maybe! Still debating spraying it!
  19. I went into TLC today to look at one of these...they didn't have any in stock to look at.
  20. Just to note with "asphalt" that as I alluded to I think above it comes in different grades as in for roofs, to drive on (in delivery bays etc).
  21. So that what, dumps to the return?
  22. This is the wiring diagram of what I have that I knocked up recently. Slightly modded so that the neutrals to the 2-ports now go through the contactors so the 2-port valves are in effect DP switched. I'm thinking no boiler overun here?
  23. You asked before and I don't know what that is...
  24. I've bought the bloody 3-port already! You mean like this? Plus I don't do well doing things on the fly, I have to consider & plan etc. Not the thing when the house is freezing and it needs to be up and running asap. Boiler stat tripping, no don't think so.
  25. That's what I do tbh. Unravel the 8 a bit so they're nice and flat then cut across all 8 dead level.
