  2. People build complete houses in gardens so anything is possible , try looking at your local planning website for examples in your area of what has been achieved.
  3. Buildings over 30 square metres will always need to be Building Regulation compliant.
  4. Below 30 sq meters is building regs thing not planning if you are looking at “permitted development” (planning not needed) then look at this. https://www.planningportal.co.uk/permission/responsibilities/planning-permission/permitted-development-rights
  5. Oh yes quote normal practice, as said above they can pick and choose. Why not crack on yourself? As you said gas / plastering leave to professionals but all else fairly simple (IMO). Lots of advise here on demand, post up your plans and start from there. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question, stupid is not asking (and we are a tame bunch here 👍)
  6. Make sure you have a draught strip as well, that looks like a cold loft (insulation at bedroom ceiling level).
  7. Are you using proper cabinet fixing bolts rather than screws to fix to side cabinets? https://www.screwfix.com/p/inter-screws-m4-x-10-pack But cabinet backs are usually thin, non supporting “board”, are yours solid Wood @Pocster ? The Proper brackets fix to cabinet side member,s. frankly if the cabinets either side are fixed to the wall then supporting a bridge unit from them is suffice. (IMO)
  8. But those hooks are sh1te (IMO) and I have fitted many kitchens 🖕
  9. Ooh, I don’t like those (Howdens use better ones IMO) Why (building that far out of square ? 🤣) pack out the wall as much as you need, crayon the edge of that hook, push the cabinet onto the packing and should leave a mark where you need to mount it. 🤞

    Air vent

Might be worth using anti vac traps just in case which are a sort of air vent https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-anti-syphon-bottle-trap-white-32mm
  13. translated from steamy…People are trying to do their part since we destroyed the European economy by leaving. Really ?
  14. Thanks mate but space is tight within the motor unit and not sure it will fit, if no other solution I may try it 👍.
  15. ? Did the washing machine break it 😱
  16. @Pocster see PM
  17. I was only joking!!!!
  18. And still going strong, is that not green in as far as not needing to be replaced 🤷‍♂️ (tin hat on).
  19. Yes used in the Standard vanguard of the 1960,s.
  20. NO, that’s what my other car is for…… Well mine is 50 year old 😎
  21. Pah you can keep your modern stuff, I just recovered my classic from my brothers garden where it’s been stored for a year under a rotten tarp, started without a problem and drove it 25 miles to mine. (It did run out of fuel in my gateway 🤣) my son is a car salesman and said he doubts modern cars would do that!!,, MPG, who cares 🤷‍♂️
  22. So apart from not taking fossil fuel out of the ground it’s just as polluting?.
  23. However, with mine BC were involved because of a disputed start date which BC stated (wrongly) I was in the process of proving them wrong (dated photos) but I won my appeal before it came to anything.
