  1. I think the size of the plant room depends on what goes in it, planned well and access to anything that requires it, other than that it’s dead space unless used for storage.
  2. Accuracy in studding and boarding will certainly help and it occurs to me that metal studding is less likely to cause problems as it’s straighter and does not shrink?
  3. That is crap work, I can recommend a Bristol based plasterer for any one but he is always busy so may need to wait (anyone that is good has a queue 🤷‍♂️).
  4. Do you have room for a sliding gate? Onoff and I did this and mine is a slight slope, also it gives me more room on my drive as I can park next to the gate without stopping it from swinging.
  5. @Andehh have you room for sliding gates? On offs and mine are sliding so very little weight on the pillars. Mine also is on a slight slope and the motor copes easily for that rise. I made mine from standard fence panels welded together.
  6. Give them a diagram/drawing and ask for their solution, they will know better than anyone what solutions are available.
  7. You are not dim, it’s legal speak only understood by solicitors etc, just ask for an explanation (in plain English).

Pot and kettle springs to mind here 🤷‍♂️Looking good mate.
  9. I think so, it all comes under the PD heading. If you got away with it and your neighbours are not bothered the win win.
  10. My pump house was fed by a 2.5mm cable (in duct with alarm cable and drawrope) and a double socket one for the pump and a spare (which I used for a Strimmer etc rather than a long extension lead ).
  11. I don’t think it does….. I think that confirms it’s measured from the highest ground adjacent to the build.
  12. That has always been my understanding .
  13. Put it in timber floor voids and stud wall voids as sound absorbing mass
  14. I have never heard of a theoretical air test result, how can that be accurate and acceptable?
  15. Despite all the above I still say if it’s built on your neighbours land as you indicate the boundary line is the face of the wall it’s not yours 🤷‍♂️
  16. What, I hope your not paying for that, you need a number!!!!
  17. Therefore the wall is built on your neighbours land and their responsibility. Based on what evidence? (See above) +1
  18. In that case the wall is built on your neighbours land surely? And as such it is theirs to retain their land 🤷‍♂️
  19. It’s bonkers that you cannot improve the U value without meeting current regs, any improvement is better than none. . A private BC might give you an opinion but I would steer away from Local authority as it will be documented with them. i agree with this, yes a gamble but I would do it!!!, 🤷‍♂️😇
  20. Mine was a few hours.
  21. A doctor I know who worked in Africa told me the locals there could not believe that in England we sh1t in drinking water 🙄
  22. Does she use more than 20 cubic meters of water or 4,4000 gallons a day? if not then no extraction license is required 🤣🤣🤣.
