Thank you very much ..... at last. They know what they know, and since they learned about it so long ago, they don't know why they know it, so they can't explain it. Why should they? They're not teachers. Wiring: there's nowt more jangling for Know-Nowts like me than a scattering of technical terms all meaning the same thing, spoken by people who seem often to me not to be able to answer simple questions - like What the difference between a ring main and a ring final then?
