  1. I was talking to someone in the plumbers merchants that was having a resin floor From the pictures he was showing off it looked really smart But came at a cost £100 per mtr all in

  5. I had my lenses on my eyes replaced four years back After suffering with astigmatism all my life Long and short sighted Reading print on cad drawings was difficult even with readers and drivers in my pocket It’s life changing to be able to read tiny print and not bead driving glasses
  6. Time to make a decision on a kitchen How much of the total below would we be able to claim the vat back [Edited by Jeremy to remove your name and address details, just as a security precaution, hope you don't mind]
  7. It’s so ridiculous now I put off cuts of wire in our wheelie bin last week The one marked plastic and metal They emptied the bin and put the wire on top of the empty bin
  8. We bought all of ours from warmup See if it’s any good tomorrow when we commission the UFH
  9. Get a good respirator
  10. They only do two versions of the same model 110v and petrol We normally take the 110 scarifier Petrol is a bit funky indoors They are really easy to use and can be adjusted to take as little as 2 mil off You can get within 200 mil of comers and edges You have to use a grinder in the corners Grinders are ok but slow and and you are right down there on your hands a knees with the dust We recently tiled a swimming pool and had to plane 6 mill off the whole screed So we hired the dust exstactor with it Hardly any dust but makes it a two person job I normally pay £70 for a day
  11. I hired a screed planer last week from speedy Just puts it over the high spots Like mowing a lawn Very effective
  12. Glad you got sorted out Water jet cutting is great for curves and holes in thick or fragile tiles

  14. Velux is a bit more exspensive than others on the market ive fitted two types and found velux really easy to fit We have two on our current home I put the frames in and my wife did the flashing kits
  15. Only way to be sure is dig it out
  16. I’ve built two detached garages on my build I’ve done most of the work myself The materials and much away have cost more than 10k each
  17. I’m guessing it is liquid concrete (cube) They should set there datums off the internal damp course to finish inline or just below Id ask the to follow your drawing
  18. I opted for air as I thought there could be a chance of the pipes freezing during the winter months
  19. We are commissioning ours on Friday Its had 4 bar of air pressure for the last eleven months
  20. Problem is a lot of the fitters prefer to drive a screw through the frame fitted all my sash windows on brackets But as with the bifolds They advised me that there fitters didn’t bother with brackets It took me over a week to get the brackets for the bifolds tgat I’ve just fitted It took me about half an hour to fix all the brackets to the frame The fitters would argue that they would have the gram in while I was still messing about with brackets
  21. I would insist that they replace them Always use brackets on new work What ever they do with those holes You will always see them
  22. Love the curved wall Will look great when finished
