  2. ? My phone has a mind of its own Vertical
  3. Your fine with a render board Base coat and mesh It’s worth adding viticulture expansion joints As most structures move Especially TF I normally add a stop bead to intern comers Ive render many thousands of metres on TF and concrete Rarely have any issues with cracking
  4. All of the above Seal with two coats of SBR Leave overnight to dry
  5. You can use most through coloured renders on TF K tend Piro etc It is difficult to repair But with skill it can be done

I screened the house floor 20 ton I had two labourers At 56 I had memories of laying floors in the morning and tiling in the afternoon When was in my twenty’s The was dropped at 8 and I dint stop til 5 I should of had her helping me that day 8 stone wet through and loading bricks while I type
  10. Not a dumb Question Ive employed tilers particularly younger ones That have combed the backs of floor tiles The idea is to get as much contact as possible A smooth thin layer will do this

I screened the first to sections and my wife did the next two Not much in it But I think she’s wasted in an office
  12. Yep same as ours BB the curtain is in one but easily un slots Rail and motor separate Half a day to fit for my wife and myself Great instructions Online bid also
  13. No there’s a membrane in the slab
  14. Not sure if this helps But this is how I fitted ours
  15. For wall tiling there’s not much need for bb with the exception of heavy tiles such as limestone The bb is to make sure there is full contact Floors can be a disaster If you use a bag adhesive for walls Nothing will shift them Especially direct onto PB If you use two 6 mild Yiur tiles will slide As I say don’t use the inch side to BB It sort of defeats the object
  16. You normally go the thickness of the tile So 8 or 10 mil Always back butter floor tiles But not that important for walls If your walls are flat If you do bb use the smooth edge of the trowel Couple of mil is fine Always bag mix
  17. Yes 88 92 with the addition of PV cost £7000. - £9000 Annual saving £253 approx I think I posted the results at the time The 88 didn’t really mean anything to me It was more the cost of PV and the saving that I found ironic I think Dave and Declan states at the time that you really need to be sourcing and fitting the pc yourself to see a return
  18. I’ll double check later It was the Pv that stuck in my mind As it was a planning condition that we have and exceed the standard by 20% Garage roof was an option
  19. Pretty similar to ours 88 B add solar pv for A Ours is block and block No Mvr Do the EPCs mean anything I was truthful with the info I gave But I wasn’t asked for any proof
  20. That’s a really neat set up
  21. Difficult to. visualise without a photo
  22. Yep barmy each year we do the plastering on new build TF student accommodation Some years the labour is zero others it is 20% Some are sold to private landlords others come under regeneration land It makes a lot of work for us sorting it all out
  23. I’ve been registered over thirty years and still get caught out On a private dwelling there should be no vat on labour Some of the rates that I regularly charge are 20% 10% & 5 % A company that has paid me several thousand in vat at 20% It should have been charged at 5 % When you contact HMR you get a different person each time and usually a different answer Rather than chasing the HMR Contact the company and ask if they will re issue The invoice It’s not difficult to sort it out this They will simply adjust the next quarterly payment Weve done it lots of times
  24. Your quote correct Dave We had to pay six moths before it was habitable No gas cert Electrics incomplete Electrician laughed when I asked about signing off He said your miles off No kitchen or bathrooms Or boiler There Argument was yes it is incomplete But you could complete it if you wanted I told them there was 13 week lead time on our German kitchen I was told Go to Howdens No reasoning We agreed on 50% for six months while still paying 100% on our home They seem to make it up as they go along
  25. I’m hoping that you are wrong We have just submitted our vat claim 1 month after sign off 6 after moving in 12 after paying counsel tax
