2k doesn’t seem to bad if they have to dig a road and make good When you do your groundworks you will need to install two ductings in trenches To the points where the services where cut off Don’t forget to add a draw string in each duct

Replacement of 1st Floor Bath Floorboards with Tiles, Electric UFH
nod replied to Fallingditch's topic in Underfloor Heating
The Ardex and Mat are a great surface to fix to As mentioned above 6 mil screwed down are good also The handy thing with the 6 mil insulated boards are that you can stick them down with tile adhesive to make a perfect level floor Then bang some screws in the following morning -
No reason why you can’t but I would put a few knock ins in Or plug and screw the dabs once set Belt and braces to help carry the weight of the tiles

You have When I checked with BC regarding surface water He said as long as wheats going in there is clean and said the neighbors will have to switch to treatment plants My understanding is that it’s upto each property to keep there own ditch clear You can’t be held responsible for either side of you

From a cost point If you have gas available with a cheap Connection Gas will be a cheaper option According to a friend who fits both

In a good sized area like your For tiles and adhesive The should be knocking off 30-40% off showroom prices (Trade).

You can do a fixed price on today’s prices and agree to stand any extreme price rises later this year Prices are unlikely to drop anytime soon If ever Your alternative would be to get a fixed price guarantee The builder would simply load this and assume large material and labour charges Or get a quote for labour only Bit shitty but how things are at the moment

Everyone cashing in at the moment I’ve just purchased £3500 worth of English oak It’s not something that’s in high demand So the price hasn’t changed much We had a similar situation five years ago when Brexit was announced Bricks and blocks that are made here going up 40% right after Christmas Ive waited nine months for a new tipper trailer and had to stand two price rises after paying my deposit The dealer told me the factory is on full production and could sell my trailer for £1500 more than I’m paying if I wanted my deposit back The plastering and rendering sites I’m pricing for now have a built in 5% material rises and the builder - client are agreeing to absorb and other material rises and relax penalty clauses

Suggestions for this void and junction between wall and ceiling insulation
nod replied to Jilly's topic in Barn Conversions
Yes Just slot a 50 mil strip in between the wall and the rafter -
For that reason I would never use a lintel over bifolds Or any other large opening A steel with a hit and mis welded plate is a better option It will be a pain to swap it But worse later with the bifolds and render done

Both are good Most commercial bathrooms we do have a layer of ply for the first layer The beauty with mf Especially I stud is you can cut all your pattresses first and fasten them as you build the wall -
Plus one will We were also very busy and looked at paying someone A lot of Tge work was photocopying the recipes and getting them in order Which is something you will have to do yourself It took us most of the weekend Whilst it was easy It was very boring Id like to think our next vat claim would be quicker second time round But I don’t think it will I would love to hand someone a spreadsheet and a bag of recipes and tell them to get on with it Keep us posted if you find someone

We have a housing site where the builder offers Habito boards as an extra All the rad kitchen cupboards and tv brackets are fitted to them without pattress Only drawback is you can’t use collated screws or Dot and Dab with them
