  1. Firstly it shouldn’t make any difference who’s name is on the application The Cil relates to the build As far as staying in the property for three years after completion very is issued That relates to the property being sold Not one you moving out As far as you selling mid build You would have to ask the local Cil But if the buyer intended to make the house there main residence and stay for at least three years after completing There’s no reason why they wouldn’t equal if I qualify for Cil exception The Cil is probably one of the easiest parts of planning So a call or email would make things clear
  2. BC won’t care and you will only here from planners if there is a complaint from one of the neighbors It’s Usually height issues when planners get involved Though there is a group of homes 20 miles from me Million plus each That the local council have ordered to be demolished As they have been built slightly to big An average of 50% to big ? Someone put a link on here a couple of weeks back
  3. Your welcome I don’t hold to much store in permeable pavers I heavy rain it comes down the slope in waves
  4. We have a similar slope whilst planners insisted on permeable BC said there was no need for a drain at the bottom He was wrong Permeable or not we would flood without it
  5. We do Most contractors prefer us to curl either edge up 100 mil
  6. We had our tree survey back for our next two plots With all the usual diagrams showing how to put the herras protection up held in place with scaffolding We found that the protection recommended wasn’t practical and took most down and replaced it with mtre high plastic on a roll fencing All the trees survived
  7. I can’t understand BC saying that You will need to fit a standard CC Tack in place then silicone around the inner edge prior to the windows beeing fitted
  8. Use 600 wide rolls and push it between the 400 centres Sitting on the bottom edge You don’t need to go in and out of the webbing
  9. Ha ha He told me he was on a budget and gave me 200 quid for the board I’d a long day boarding and building the pelmets and most of a day skimming it Think I finished down on the materials also ? Seriously I’ve done some really elaborate ones for restaurants and hotels
  10. While I don’t do the wiring I’ve built lots bulkheads and coffers for lighting I did this one as a freeby for a friend a couple of weeks ago

    ASHP

Thanks Mike I was quite surprised when the sap guy pointed out that cooling is bad for Sap We are looking to max the sap but as with the first build we are determined not to have PV

    ASHP

We are just having the Sap done A question that has just been asked is What ASHP do you intend using I’m presuming the ASHP will have to be sized for each house Is there any particular brand or type to state I know our previous sap was quite specific as to which gas boiler we would use
  14. We left them off ours Windows nearby had TVs BC was ok
  15. Plenty won’t I lot of the smaller ones can’t afford to stand the vat Leaves a simple choice
  16. If he’s not vat registered you would be better settling the bill and claiming the vat back at the end If he is vat registered He will simply pay the vat and offset it against the vat from other jobs that he’s yet to pay in
  17. If you roll a length of dpc un the sole plate Then fix through it Im guessing you already have plaster on the wall If so reduce the gap to 10 mil and cover the gap with the skirting board But you need to leave the gap clear
  18. You would normally fix a sole plate to the floor for your studs layout Then install your floor in each room With a 20 mil expansion gap around each sole plate and the perimeter You shouldn’t fix anything through the FF
  19. We have a job boarding and plastering 32 TF houses and apartments and are due to start a small job of 17 houses nearby Just been informed that the TF have approached the builder to help with extra cost in rising timber prices The builder has refused TF company has now gone bust Be careful with your deposits
