Your in the same position as we was and are again Waiting for discharge of conditions Whilst summer rapidly disappears Unfortunately your taking a chance if you do Though it’s very unlikely you will receive a visit from planners Though highways may turn up

A long time with a single story on them ?

This Has been asked before I normally buy a 10 mil 2400x1200 sheet of fluted plastic Same as the 5 mil stuff used for floor protection Rip it into 100 mill strips Put on in each doorway or opening Cut it off with a Stanley knife the following day
-
200 mil is very shallow I would think your SE will tell you to beef up The foundations Ex specially where there are trees or hedges As I’m guessing you are on compacted clay
-
I totally agree Architechts are good at spending other people’s money I like how the Architecht insisted on spending 500k on the horrible cladding
-
What products do you think will be banned/worth avoiding using?

Your unlikely to come across asbestos in modern buildings Post 90s Gas boilers will be around long after all of us are gone -
That’s expensive More than double S & C Screed When companies supply and flow usually comes out about a third more expensive
-
Your probably paying for the pump and someone to operate it As supposed to concrete just being tipped out
-
Are both prices supply only
-
Exactly the same to fix Probably better with a skirting that doesn’t have to fancy of a mould Something you could butt together in the internal angles
-
No brainer Whilst Lam joists are good They are not as good as steel Steel has also rocketed in price But it’s on its way back down
-
If the surface is concrete block you don’t need a base coat If it’s one of the thermal blocks (High suction) you will need a base coat and mesh As I previously said It’s worth using mesh above and below windows Typo Should have read PU
-
It’s becoming quite common I think the seller should make there mind up what they want for the land and sell it Cut all ties In our case there was planning for two We only intended building one But should we decide to build two We would have to stump up 20 % of the SALE price Which could even lead to a loss We were paying 275k for the plot So wasn’t cheap The two plots and field that we have just purchased from a very good friend Had no such complications Till there solicitor got involved He wanted to put an overage on The field and paddock The seller had to threaten to change solicitor to get them to complete
-
Yes Last year we pulled out of the purchase of a double plot Two days before handing the money over
-
Does anyone know the size of fitting I’d need to get a tap on this pipe It’s a plastic pipe But not as thick as a standard blue 25 mil pipe
-
The building inspector won’t care what your house looks like As long as it meets regs We are part of a farm that is listed Planners tried dictating that The render should be Oatmeal in colour We went ahead and did it Stirling white
-
K1 for directly onto block Though I would get them to mesh and scratch above and below windows I buy sprayable weather it’s being sprayed or hand applied and normally PH glue cement board to steel With self tappers every 600
-
No Glue won’t help Replace them all with twist nails
-
If he’s just used a clout nail Then the twist nail will be a thicker gauge Whilst not ideal They should hold Ps Shocking mistake for a joiner to make
-
You missed free sky tv also ?
-
If you are looking to add better insulation An insulated plasterboard would be more effective and cheaper
-
Correct My invoices are taking an average of seven weeks to get settled Just doing a TF site where the brickies have battered the corners off the facing bricks because they haven’t been paid
-
Your best bet would be to go back to your builder and ask if he can sort out someone for you Stay away from Check a trade my builder etc If it’s any consolation most of the National House builders have cash flow issues So you X joiner May need deep pockets
-
I’m just wonder what will happen to all the natural gas we have If there are no gas powered boilers or stations Why are BG reviewing miles of gas mains Perhaps they didn’t believe government plans to get rid of gas from homes and businesses
