Sounds crazy if that’s the case In England you have three years to start your build Then you can take as long as you want -
Perhaps 6 on a flat wall 8 is quite thin for floors Work off the thickness of the tile 10 tile =10 mil adhesive Should really back butter also
-
It seams to be something that Solicitors are asking for I know two separate people that have been asked for warranty’s for houses over thirty years old Both have had to take indemnities Ive bought loads of houses over the years and hadn’t heard of this till recently
-
10 mil tile will need 10 mil adhesive

I’d no experience of installing a TP I sat it in two cube of concrete with a small amount of water in the tank Then left the hose running till the following morning I intend doing the same on our next one So many seller say there TPS can be sat in pea gravel

Our full planning has gone in today We where advised by the Architect to do all the surveys Newt Bat Bird Tre even though there is mainly hedges Because as above Planners are waiting 5 weeks then asking for the survey Hes also told us there is little chance that planner will ever visit our plots Our previous build was visited twice by planners and three times by Heritage Fingers crossed for you

I’ve just bought a 7 mtre Boss Scaf with four platforms and an extra set of wheels Split it into two for internal slopes £900 Sell it on for the same when I finish the house Bit ironic I spend thousands each year hiring towers for site work A 7 mtre Scaf heavily discounted still costs me £110 per week Usually kept for 10-14 weeks at a time

The three I spoke to All thought cooling effected the RHI It may be as already pointed out the cooling may effect the quote So there trying to put customers off for that reason I and others will follow this post with interest

Are structural calcs required to produce building reg drawings?
nod replied to 3smees23's topic in Surveyors & Architects
Do you not think the Architect is just being a pain All he needs to do is forward the Cad drawings and any relevant surveys (Tree) From them the SE Can do a foundation design floors roofs Steels lintels I wouldn’t make excuses for the Architect A simple email from the Architect is all that’s needed -
From memory 52 is 0.65 U V Theres a u value chart on the Gypsum site that you will find helpful What ever you spend on over insulating Will soon be recouped on heating costs

SE is correct He will need cad drawings from your Architect -
The specifications are usually put in by your Architect As he or she would have had to be quite specific when submitting What you are suggesting in using insulated plasterboard is pretty standard BC will go with what they know 100 mil Recti or similar Gypsum or Knauf Will be perfect (62.5)

That’s bad luck Personally I think disposal of sewage is one of the main considerations when buying a plot The annoying thing with these quotes is The work will nearly always be subcontracted out with the contractor getting about 60% of what you are being quoted It will depend if you can work around this for now Sure contractors are all mad busy now That could change in a few months ID ask SW water for a list of there contractors and contact them all Even if it means you having to wait a few months

Sounds like a perfect Scenario for a treatment plant We where quoted 25k plus vat for mains sewer bringing to the boundary Less than 3k for a TP Lower water rates Only needs emptying every 3-5 years

I’m just looking into ASHP To my disappointment All three have said it’s not worth reversing for cooling

The airtightness testing as it stands is nonsense Its so rare to see testers on-site Certainly not one in seven Most are done as a desktop survey

Someone will get a bargain

This partially renovated home came on the market for offers around a million Only a few weeks later has been reduced to 770 k A last ditched attempt to find a buyer before auction
-
Plus 1 Its nothing to do with them what your contractor is doing or not doing I’d just ask for site insurance
-
They are better treated But it’s unlikely any moister will ever get past the R board and render
-
As above But if you can’t wait that long you will need to use a decoupling Matt Im on with this one today 130m2 Screed has been down 10 days Customer if paying extra for the tiling on top of the 600k Large scale builders are always in a rush The longer you leave the screed the better But hardly any on spec builds are left to cure
