  1. Why not just use a 10mm notched trowel instead of 6mm, wouldn't the squash down the adhesive even more?
  2. contemplating this one https://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/Stanley-Sta043681-3253560436810-Fatmax-Pro-Box-Beam-Spirit-Level-3-Vial-2000Mm
  3. Already got a 1200 but have found the 1800 really useful on site while working with ICF. Is the only reason you guys suggest going to a 1200 cos of transport damage? Hadn't really heard of Ox tools before apart from Selco BM do a full range of their tools
  4. Yeah I forget to mention, a case would be handy too for transport. Does hitting it damage the vials or the level itself?
  5. Hi, Thought I'd test my spirit level for vertical accuracy only to find out it's warped. Not sure how this happens on a box section level, but assume being 1800mm with no case, throwing in the car and taking the odd bash would do it. So I just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for an at least 1800mm. So far I've looked at Stabila and Stanley Fatmax and wondered if there's any advantage on box section or I beam? Having one with 2 vertical vials would be handy but most seam to come with the one unless you spend silly money. Anything else to consider? Cheers Vijay
  6. Hi Lizzie, Did any of them give any sort of explanation or reason? Vijay

  10. Can't see the fitters taking the blame as they have followed the installation detail from Velfac. I think it's a shame that Velfac find it an acceptable method, or should at least say brackets/straps should be used unless there is good reason to screw through the frames
  11. That sounds sensible as they'd probably tell you to anyway to cover themselves - one expense instead of 2

  19. Just thought I'd post up a simple idea I had and works really well to keep the gun nozzle clean. Simply drill a hole slightly smaller than the gun neck in a small clear bottle (I used a Lucozade one) and half fill with acetone. When you've finished with your gun, simple push the neck though the hole into the bottle of acetone
  20. Hi Nick, How do you do this neatly and how does it compare to a normal tile edge?
  21. or possibly an idea, have a chain downpipe as a feature?

  25. A job I totally forgot to do was the drainage runs for my guttering to my RWH. I assume everything is done in 4" underground pipe the same as my foul drainage, but do I need inspection/rodding chambers at all, say on bends for any reason, seeing as it's just rainwater? Cheers Vijay
