100%. If it's been on a while and is bone dry and dusty then it'll be very high suction. A very weak PVA mix will be necessary ( but only in the most 'adverse' cases ).

PVA goes on with a roller, not a brush. That needs applying so your skimming onto it before it dries. If you skim over dry PVA it's goodnight Irene.

You want to go sealed and pressurised 100%. Also @PeterW, no need for G3 as it's not stored potable aka high pressure potential. Clarified this with Telford the other day. Different ( lower ) T&PRV rating on a TS compared to an UVC.

That's dependent on how long it takes to get hot water to the most frequently used, short use, outlet. Try it without the preheat ( with the boiler cold ) at each outlet, not baths or showers as they don't matter, but more like a basin in a cloakroom or ensuite or the kitchen sink if used for swilling things. Then try it with the preheat on. If it makes things vastly improved then yes, if not then no. Mine for eg is back to back with my kitchen sink and both bathroom & cloak so pointless.
