  2. Go full DC route so no DNO involvement
  3. Bigger consumer unit. more cost for rcbos more cost for cable However for minimising inconvenience to trips it’s a plus.
  4. Joint at the manifold so any potential leak is above floor level
  5. Bet you wished you just set the conduit up to the floor level and then back down and saved that £25 All in the planning
  6. currently consuming 1.5 watts according to the energy meter on the EV charger feed. its 9 pence during the cheap slot compared to 38pence(ish) so definitely worth charging at that cheap time
  7. My EV charger is a dumb as a box of rocks, activated each night at 12:30to 04:30 to benefit from the cheaper electricity tariff just the way I like it
  8. The lid to the immersion heater
  9. It’s nice that it’s broken down, not sure where you are in the world though
  10. Get over to the Camelot forum, Nowty and Joeboy have the systems you are looking at and Nowty is very clued up on all the G99,G100 etc
  11. Wall drying out, paint preventing wall breathing so plaint blistering
  12. A coat of watered down pva would be the cheapest option then just coats of normal emulsion, splash the cash on masonary paint if you want. any expanding foam will do the trick, smallest can possible, or line up a few jobs and do lots at one time.
  13. Salts coming out of stone/brickwork?

  15. Maybe there should just be a qualification similar to working on gas boilers, fire etc and a card like gas safe or the Sjib/jib card electricians have, I recently sat the EV installation course, doesn’t make me an expert but covered the safety requirements to do a good design… and take away MCS registration
  16. Crack on! less joins always better, can you get 2.7m easily, manage to fit them?
  17. I must be spoiled then I deal with professional architects, consultants & trades
  18. Why wouldn’t the architect not advise to leave a gap? why wouldn’t the builder not advise that the architects drawings were rubbish to the client. seems like no one with any sense volunteered any info client may or may have been an arse but that’s not the point, you do the build, you get tarnished too
  19. Data cable too probably unless the unit works off 4G personally I would fit ducts to proposed positions, pull in cable such as EV ultra, or separate Swa/ data.
  20. I emailed the manufacturer and they emailed me the service engineer manual all good
  21. Sika additives into concrete/render/ French drains tanking to external relandscaping to ensure water stays away from building as much as possible
  22. Not worth the risk, crack open some windows and get some through air movement. keep the dehumidifier for drying the clothes or after a leak
  23. Can’t really see the drawing. Maybe inside the plant room, so that running subsequent services are easier? borh my gas and electricity meters are inside the house and I never found it an issue
