I have at my furthest radiator a T into the flow and return under the floor at each of the pipes goes to a handle operated valve then they join together with another T and 1 pipe goes outside. it let’s me drain the system down without hoses etc in normal operation the valves are closed, on opened when I want to drain it down. This is next to the hatch so it’s easy for me. I copied it from a heating spec we were using at the time in 2004.

Can you look online at your local authority online planning dept and download other extension plans, Fife council let’s you download plans, so if I saw an extension in the street I liked I could download their plan and get some ideas for layout etc.
