  1. Do you mean for supply and fit or only supply …? I guess you’re talking the big names such as Nu-Heat etc who are usually 3-4 times price of the suppliers such as Wunda. I think they charge £50 like most for a loop cad plan but they are pretty good.
  2. Assuming we are talking a standard 65x100 concrete lintel here, with a 4x2 wall plate. All will be fine, get a decent length lintel such as a 1500 so you’ve got good end bearing and be done with it. Assuming you’re using concrete commons for the top course ..??
  3. Who is supplying ..?
  4. You mean run the slab up to the outside wall..? Can be done but needs a decent insulation upstand to stop heat loss across the threshold.
  5. it can be rotated so it is front facing not top facing is what they mean.
  6. Something understated and simple ..??
  7. That’s very good - still high round here
  8. DO NOT CAP THEM OFF !!!! You will create a bomb if you cap that off and then heat it up.
  9. Yes but he did a Finite Element Analysis and CAD simulation and decided the holes in the handles would create additional stress risers when 62.73kg of soil is loaded at the mid point of the barrow … so welding a massive piece of steel he had to hand was the answer….
  10. Here’s one .. 0.75kW and they are all soft start https://raeburnwaterwells.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/DIVERTRON-TS-ENG.pdf
  11. Do the cheeks not have insulation in them already ..?
  12. It is a request for refund based on non-determination that is the key. And it has to be done prior to any request for an extension which also has to be done prior to the 8 week expiration.
  13. TBH I would just thicken the edges to 200mm deep and 200mm wide, chuck a couple of sheets of A142 mesh and then cast the lot.
  14. errr @craig is a manufacturer .. ? I like that option, and I would really look at that in future as I’ve always preferred French doors not hung on intermediate frames.
  15. Start here https://www.local.gov.uk/pas/development-mgmt/managing-performance/extensions-time-agreements/decisions-positive-planning#8. What are the incentives to agree an extension of time?
  16. Did the planning officer write to you prior to 8 weeks to ask for an extension ..? They have to get that in writing or you can ask for your money back when you get the decision.
  17. So you need a sump pump then not a circulation pump.
  18. Secondary pump has to be bronze or plastic. Wilo make both. Soakaway pump for ..?? Rainwater or something else ..?
  19. That manifold pump set linked btw is £70 more than the same from Wunda
  20. Yes Are you doing the buying or is the contractor ..?
  21. For a flat section you should have a weep vent at minimum 450mm centres over the flat section. And when render blows, you end up with a track down the wall between the render and the blockwork. And that is how it should be done ….!
  22. Water behind the render will come down the wall, behind the lead (which is a crap install from that photo) and then into the ceiling. Water coming down the cavity would hit the step tray and come out of the weeps (where are they..?) and then over the flashing.
  23. There are lots - @nod can point you at the good and bad (which is usually by country) then you can decide. If the insurer is paying, why not go with Porcelanosa.
  24. If you go with the Wilo pump then it’s virtually silent.
  25. tile it inside ..? You helping with the grouting ..??
