@newhome I have just replied sending him this exert from the manual:- Controller type: UniQ_SBC_01 (Electric storage water heater) • Heating from bottom to top • Cooling from top to bottom • Option 1 on: demand signal generated when battery is approx. 90% depleted • Option 1 off: demand signal generated when battery is approx. 50% depleted Not much ambiguity in the above.

I got a further response today to my Facebook post from Andrew Bissell the CEO. "No they can be set to recharge when nearly full or nearly empty. Settings are in the manual if you have bought the product." Seems differ from @JSHarris experience. Confusion reigns.

2 year old mitsubishi ASHP with 210 L cylinder may be a good buy for someone in Mirfield https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183650209073?ul_noapp=true

Thanks @ProDave a joint box seems the easier option. Had a quick look for a wireless solution and nothing looked like it would do what I need. I do remember @JSHarris talking about a wireless solution previously, not sure if he built it in the end.

That is what I have. I don't mind running another cable, a question of what cable, and sizing, to try and get it in the same gland as the swa.

@ProDave I will need to check my cable for the colours. This is the wiring diagram, one side of the isolator is prewired to the compressor.

My iwox treatment plant comes with a remote alarm light for the sir compressor. They recommend to install a 5 core 2.5mm swa to accommodate this. We only buried a 3 core some months back. What could I use that I will have any chance of getting through the gland on the tank as well as the 3 core swa? Thanks in advance

@MrMagic am I right in saying that you are running Home assistant on a Pi with a Z-stick plugged in?
-
Pyronix is now owned by hikvision so there should be easy integration with a hikvision cctv system which just work as @MrMagic states. I am planning on both in my house with the alarm system being hardwired and wireless expansion if necessary.

My site has been closed since Friday 21st, threatened to go up today and do some stuff but can't face it yet. Probably back it 3rd Jan when most suppliers here will be open.

I have asked for more detail if there are more settings available than those that we know 50% or 90%. I was almost convinced on a sunamp until this was discovered. I have no pv currently but was considering using economy 7.

This is the response to the post on Facebook which was mine, my bad lol:- "There are multiple settings. Not able to go into the details just now (Technical team are on holiday) but there are settings designed to work best with solar PV self-consumption controllers."

I seen this announced on their Facebook page and asked about the no charge until at least 50% depleted, this is the response:- "There are multiple settings. Not able to go into the details just now (Technical team are on holiday) but there are settings designed to work best with solar PV self-consumption controllers."

Don't forget cat5/6 for a decent WiFi access point or points depending on floor layout. I would highly recommend ubiquiti access points.

Glad I'm not alone. Only 2 under 6 here. I have been stopped for a few weeks at night and can't get going again as no trade is badgering me to get stuff done. I do have Fridays off so get stuff done then. -
The add isn't very clear it states something like 4000 - 7999w as the power so is it the 8Kw?
-
The IVT Ecolane ASHP seem to do high temp output and at a reasonable COP based on @PeterW testing. Available on eBay currently as a 9Kw unit.
-
IVT Ecolane ASHP - any owners out there?

I would consider making an offer on one of these but the controls are what worry me. Can anyone offer advice as to how I could do this? -
I ordered a sample from ledkia.com to see what they are like. Think it is coming from Spain
