  1. Drive in, strap on, turn car: http://www.sgs-engineering.com/ws4000-680kg-wheel-skates?gclid=CJDz7f6WzNMCFcuZGwodQ6QNzw
  2. I've run mine the complete length (25mm in 63mm pipe). I'd say it's daft not to under a slab. Primarily did mine in duct because of sharp flints everywhere.
  3. Depending on which way the joists run you could do a stepped service void along one wall.
  4. He probably takes ages doing EVERYTHING!
  5. I also once bought her 5L of car shampoo and the same of screenwash for Xmas. You're looking pretty good now eh?
  6. Love it! I took my wife to Dungeness Nuclear Power Station...on our honeymoon!
  7. PM me mate....your mobile's gone!
  8. I'm going to yes please, I'll take them if you're sure? They'll easily fit in the car with the seats down. I'm so glad I kept that roll of giant bubble wrap though i did use a bit for someone else on here the other day! Do you want to pm me a contact number? Cheers
  9. Looks really good, expensive?
  10. Would they fit in the back of a Focus Estate?
  11. Tempting if I had a truck! You're 70/80 miles from me. How big are they btw?
  12. Here's a thought(s).... Hire a crusher and grade the rocks then fill feature wire gabions? Crush the rock smaller and fill feature beds. It would be very in keeping with the locale. Weigh up crusher hire vs skips. Or just pile them up in a corner of the garden whilst you decide. A passer by may make an offer for the lot! Again that is really nice stone! Granite?
  13. "Afferbeck Lauder", so clever and well observed. Australian as a foreign language!
  14. Does this help understand what Ed's getting at?
  15. if it's for @AliG's 504sq.m ground floor I might need some assistance emptying the cans!
  16. The 50 Greatest ‘Jaws’ Quotes 4. Harry: “We all know about you, Chief. You don’t go in the water garden at all, do you?”
  17. And continuing the mad musing after a beer and armed with a craft knife & pair of scissors: The "clip fin" design solar thermal panel is where black painted aluminium (or ideally copper) fins are attached to a copper pipe matrix to heat water. With ali it's important they are held tight to the copper. Yes, I know you can buy them (or at least could) and tbh they should be thicker sheet......but.....A 440ml Fosters can yields a nice piece of aluminium. I think about 0.25mm thick: Add a pipe clip as a former and run it up and down: Looks like a clip fin to me: Except it springs out of shape when you take the clips off: However.....the metal is so thin I reckon you could stick it to foil backed PIR with foil tape to keep the shape? Or maybe make a full length clip out of something?
  18. Darn sarf that last one would sell for a fortune in the garden centres!
  19. You can get concrete stains that are applied AFTER you've laid the stuff. Meant I think for freshening up old faded stuff. If you've only just done the job why not try to restain a patch now? Any sealer you apply will of course limit how well stain will work later on should you wish to re-apply. I've used Everbuild toner and Thompson's Water Seal before. We love pictures by the way!
  20. Duramat are 12mm thick, £4 each and have a good name. 20% off at the mo too. https://duramat.co.uk Edit: That's £4 for black, realised you want a light colour, white or yellow are £5 each.
  21. I've gone with various bought/scrounged off sites grey floor paints tipped into an old 5gal brewing barrel then broomed over the well abraded & vacuumed floor. Have a number of old (again scrounged) HV mats. They're rubbed to be non slip. Swarf isn't too bad if dry but the sticky stuff if I've been tapping or using the Hilmor bender just gets smeared in the grooves.
  22. Are there such places as tiling retreats?
  23. I'll have you know it's an art to create problems that don't exist.....and then worry excessively about how to solve them!
  24. Oh the horror! Cut it square, sand the edges, maybe paint then hoover it all before you cover it up. You never know who's going to look in there in 20 years time and think "What anal f***wit had too much time on their hands (or a wife he wanted to avoid)?"
  25. Shows fine in Dooble & Midori too both running under Zorin OS. Oh, and Opera too.
