  1. +1 on Rain X. I used it a few times on the car screen and was fascinated driving along with the wipers OFF in the rain watching it bead off.
  2. Just got an email from FFX, don't know if these are compatible: https://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/Ffx-Fc165-5055945223422-Fuel-Cell-For-Cordless-Gas-Nailers
  3. I was mulling this over if I do a garden room. Sedum's the thing apparently.
  4. Auto solar panel cleaning. Looks like the brushes are of an Archimedes screw type profile to clean and push the debris downwards. Scrapheap hats on: http://www.vjpequipments.com/?page_id=38
  5. You might be better if stuff is really stubborn, with a scrub pad on the end of the pole and indeed as said above a mild bleach solution well rinsed afterwards. On these lines: http://www.windowcleaningstuff.co.uk/poles-water-fed/515-unger-indoor-scub-pad-white-ops20.html
  6. And what thickness of floor covering maybe?
  7. We have spoken about this many, many times.....that or a buffer tank! Wasn't meaning for me with my OP. Probably titled it wrong. Seemed weired to see that seemingly second hand cylinder out in the showroom with new stuff.
  8. It seemed a bit bizarre that it had what looked like pipe sealant on it like it had come straight from a house? Still, the 32mm tank connector was only £1.60 there!
  9. A good few years back was this then?
  10. They had this down the plumbers merchant. Ex-display maybe?
  11. Well it's M6 but it's no use. Bin job this, pity. Though the two lines are always 90deg to each other (that's set in stone) you can't adjust/lock to get them level / plumb.
  12. So on the back of the bathroom to be tiled I dug out my (cheapo?) laser level which was a works cast off years ago due to a broken base. A bit of Araldite sorted it and it worked. It's this model in this random ad: https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-hand-tools/laser-genius-6150-laser-level-with-remote/1229092095 It has a remote operated turntable and the RF bit inside went t!ts up years back. I put it away in the shed. I resurrected it with a new RF 2 channel kit from Hong Kong (I think). BUT.....it wouldn't self level when I got it out again. It'll project a horizontal and vertical line onto the wall that are perfectly at 90o to each other BUT the adjustment screw atop used to adjust the gimbal (?) inside won't do a thing you can screw it fully in and it does nothing or you can unscrew it completely. It's this you turn to get your initial level / lock the gimbal in place. In fact it's not even touching the gimbal. So, 4 screws got me inside. I reckon there's a bit missing between the brass screw and gimbal? Vague memory of it coming unscrewed one time. Maybe the missing bit fell out then! Looks M6 / 1/4" BSW so I might try a random bolt:
  13. I think you would need to be looking at gussets...
  14. SELL? No, no, no! You must keep and attempt to repair spending more money and time in the process than you would have cutting your losses!
  15. Normal water leaves "mineral" streaks on glass. It's a little rough and gives purchase to algae etc over time. If glass is dirty then it really needs a detergent (Fairy's the weapon of choice) wash with a dolly then squeegee to get it off. THEN once clean you can use a pure water system to keep it clean. If glass is really stained say from concrete overspill etc which was inadequately washed off then you're down to mechanical abrasion methods like cerium oxide (jeweller's rouge).
  16. Looking at your avatar are we talking dungeon?
  17. Well I got a 32mm tank connector:
  18. So is the idea you leave a laser level in situ for the duration of the tiling or do you just use to mark lines on the walls that you tile up to? (My bath surround unsurprisingly isn't "fixed" yet btw).
  19. Come on the mechanically minded, who's gonna be first?
  20. Does it smell a lot when it goes down?
  21. I would introduce some "slip" at the joint to avoid lifting at the joint. You get the idea below. You could use some say M16 bolts and put the threaded end into the concrete or resin anchor into an existing slab. CUT the bolt head off and leave the plain shank in a sleeve.
  22. Mermaid panels? I believe @JSHarris rates these too?
  23. Very nice but a bit too much for my pocket considering how little I'll use it! I was more considering this: http://m.clasohlson.com/uk/Bosch-PLL360-Line-Laser/40-7666 If not an eBay no name job! Bear in mind I'm sitting in the ceramic rather than porcelain seats here!
  24. No prizes for guessing who'll finish first! Actually you'll likely be STARTING first!
