+1 on the No Nonsense mitre bond it's good stuff for cornices in kitchens too. No good for upvc trim around windows though as it'll yellow.

I think the key is to crack rapid yield of gas with the process to get the lpm up to run say an engine without storage.
-
It doesn't matter what the commodity is that government can control and charge for whether it be oil or hydrogen. The only real winners will imo increasingly be those who consume less...like people in passive houses.
-
But in grand scale of things the consumer won't pay any less than they do now.
-
That's the thing with hydrogen storage. The big boys will just see it as another medium like gas or oil that they can base an infrastructure around and charge the masses.

I was getting at point of use production in quantities that don't require storage say for use in a boiler. A la Chain Reaction

Point of use hydrogen generation is the answer. Of course suss that and you'd disappear or have an accident.....

So.....feeling sorry for myself with man flu and the mind started to wander..... How would I recreate this tile profile in 1mm aluminium sheet? Make a roller, a wooden crimping tool or a former to beat the sheet into/over made from some shaped sections of ply?
-
Surely the key is to simply stop WASTING the energy by upgrading existing housing stock and enforcing new builds meet passive standards?

The depths apply I'm sure. Pick the bones out of this for lateral spacings: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www2.nationalgrid.com/UK/Services/Gas-distribution-connections/Documents/Pre-excavation-and-Ducting-Guide-effective-from-01st-October-2016/&ved=0ahUKEwjzncCypbjTAhXMZlAKHbflD-AQFggaMAA&usg=AFQjCNE11ML0-JY9tI-Fb0Nuc2V1E1OQDQ

I wonder if any insurance would pay out if a house got broken into via an "ad hoc" front door? I know they're fussy about things like "approved 5 lever mortice locks".

Oddly enough when I went on the VFast site I got a pop up from Kent County Council.....must be some affiliation. -
I was looking for a specific UK Power Networks document that I've posted up before.....I think, but couldn't find it. We've discussed this one before though: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.njug.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/V1-Positioning-Colour-Coding-Issue-8.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwjrnI-G6rfTAhVRbFAKHa0ICoMQFghgMAg&usg=AFQjCNFhzY5fDIDEo-f-Sz3OF0NYGinxqg

Are you sure we don't share a line? Everytime we get heavy rain we get broadband degradation. I'll hear my boy screaming "Cover me I've got lag!!!" The BT box is on the T junction next to the big soakaway. When it can't cope... http://www.vfast.co.uk -

On copper lines is that? I've 7.8Mbps down and 1.1Mbps up. You know where I am down in the valley. Good old BT here. Keep hoping they'll upgrade the lines. Edit: I see Vfast is wireless! Did you get that subsidised as <2Mbps? -
Makes my Surrey Flange sound much more upmarket!

Careful, have you not seen Faye wielding a nail gun?
-
The Yanks do seem to go for BFO panels though as they have lots of space. What they lack in efficiency they make up for in size!
-
Good shout. I'd forgotten about those! I see though they're 15mm fittings generally?
-
You mean to fit a short immersion sideways?
-
Ah yes the design from Boil-A-Gilf Inc. I've seen some dangerous sh!t but that takes the crown!

One of my MANY envisioned projects that never happened was to make a copy of the TARDIS door at the entrance to the full height eaves space off of my boy's bedroom and decorate a la Doctor Who. Now that would have been a secret room!

Having run out of oil recently I got back to thinking than an immersion would be handy to have as a back up for hot water. The existing copper cylinder that came with the house (nom 1070x450) is "wedged" up under the rafters. There is an unconnected immersion but it's all broken about the terminals. I reckon it's about 17 or 18 years old. It's also the "wrong" side to access / replace. The immersion site right under a rafter. So I thought I'd go grab a new st/st one. (I don't want to move the hot water cylinder or bugger about at the mo thinking about a TS or UVC btw). But I'm confused. There's this one: https://www.bes.co.uk/indirect-stainless-steel-cylinders-1065-x-450-mm-48in-x-18in-160-litres?ref=gs&gclid=CI6d-uH6tdMCFbgK0wod7GYJkA Or this: http://www.screwfix.com/p/rm-indirect-ss-cylinder-1065-x-450/93313#product_additional_details_container They would both put the immersion the right side for access. What's the better make Stelstor or RM? And for the same overall size the Stelstor says it's 160L but the RM 206L? Both stainless. Very odd! Extra litreage would be good.
