  1. I'm thinking I need to lay tiles on the mitre section first say 4 high then work sideways from that. The vertical grout line either side needs to look pucker! (Horizontal line sitting slightly low as the laser is sitting on the wet room corner slope). Edit: Or do I just lay as many as I can, say 4 high as far as I have the angle support, and "shuffle" them laterally afterwards? &...walls are nice and plumb... -6mm or 10mm notched trowel? - Butter tile and wall? Butter wall first horizontally then tile vertically? Cheers
  2. 4 tiles, 3 spacers = 1008 Thought it would have been 1006! No matter! So thinking set the top of the "Cheapchecker" angle at 1006 down from the highest pocket so 2mm leeway.
  3. High praise indeed!
  4. Back on thread! Died down about 15 M10 bolts: Level wise it's there or thereabouts and I've infinite adjustment to get it spot on: I remade the short bit for the mitre just now, this time with 22.5deg ends (also re-did the mitres again on the long lengths). A wing nut, bolt & two penny washers allow me to clamp the abutting sections.
  5. Is it 2-pack? I've see some structural silicon used at work. Gun runs off a compressor!
  6. You can have mdf powdercoated...
  7. Is it too late to start a blog?
  8. I reckon your missus is secretly wishing you took as long and paid as much attention to small details as I do!
  9. Galvanised or stainless umbrella nails?
  10. Usurper to my crown is that @zoothorn!
  11. On the assumption the tile butts up tight to the u/side of the trim on the shelf and I'm 4 and a bit tiles to the floor then I need to set the top of my support angle: 250+3+250+3+250+3+250 = 1009mm ... from the underside of the trim / bottom shelf of the pocket. I think...
  12. Just proof of concept at the mo! It usually sits on a dedicated little shelf.
  13. A few minutes tinkering tomorrow and she'll be right!
  14. This has legs! Longer, fully threaded bolts needed here and there! I've some coach bolts...maybe CT1 rubber on the domed ends again...or I'll tack some nuts to M10 studding. Stupid boy Pike! If I'd have mitred the other way I could have clamped the sections together for stability:
  15. Not wishing to blow my own trumpet but this has potential: (If I could I would... )
  16. If only all Kent girls thought like that...
  17. It's @zoothorn's day off so I figured someone had to pick up the baton!
  18. "Feet", if I'd have looked harder I could have found fully threaded I'm sure. Reckon I might need to die these down: Waiting for everything to dry...
  19. Free angle, free nuts & washers! A bit of chopping later, you can just see the rivnuts. Kissed it with the wire brush to derust: A 1.8m one, a random one a bit shorter and a nom 400mm one. And a coat of zinc rich as I couldn't be ar$ed waiting for etch to dry: Amazed I got this far without a) A drink and 2) The boredom fairy showing up! Must crack on, off to dig out bolts, more later!
  20. Fire up the Rage!
  21. T'station messed up with the M5 studding! It's being delivered tomorrow now. Anxious to get on with this I've a new plan. I'm ditching M5 and have a new plan involving CT1 and these: Hopefully get the bones of it lashed together this evening!
  22. Before I commit to wall tiling have I got enough membrane on these walls? Over the Aqua Panel it is almost transparent yet has had two coats.
  23. This. Can't wait to get it going. Basically SWMBO steps underneath and at the touch of the remote the bird in the video steps out!
  24. Bluetooth speakers & a body dryer aren't?
  25. Tbh I did quite fancy one of those cheapo ones that have LEDs powered by the running water. A doddle to change to one if we want to. Seems all of a sudden prices have shot up even for these!
