Very rough plan is: - Tile saw set up and test - Rubi cutter set up - Correx the floor - Prime 4 tiles high - Spread right to left window and wc walls - Butter tiles vertically - Push tile on - Spacers - Do 4 rows, drilling for shower outlet and cutting around flush plate and 3-way valve - Stop - BEER

I didn't even know you could do this do thanks. I assume there's a charge? (I want to convert out hip ends to gables but the previous owner already had their 50% increase or whatever it is 30 years ago. I started to read up on permitted development and it talks about "not if it increases the volume by X").

Yes, E5 8W in the ceiling and a 4.5W in the cupboard on a door switch. I wanted cool white and expected SWMBO to kick off and want warm white but she loves them as do I. Easy to fit and loop in/out spring loaded terminals. The eldest lad reckons they're a bit bright for him when he's lying in the bath. When I fit the Quinetic dimmer he can dim them down! Got mine here: https://www.ledbulbs.co.uk/enlite-e8-8w-fixed-dimmable-fire-rated-led-downlight-cool-white

New directory from Passivehouse Plus magazine

Received with thanks. Went to sleep last night reading about the Norwegian Powerhouse building standard. Going to read every page! Cheers. -
Feature lighting or main downlights? I've gone Aurora Enlite for the downlights and cheap seats (LAP) for the pocket lights but bought a second kit for spares and made sure it's all accessible for replacing. The LED strip alongside the bath is an eBay special.

Thanks. Tbh getting consistent lines either side of the mitre is my biggest worry. I think as a focal point that is the make or break whether this looks a good job. I'm going to knock up another angle and extend the "Cheapchecker" under the window tonight. If I then go a course at a time I can do the whole of the wc and window walls encompassing the wet room corner and pockets. - MUST NOT FORGET TO PRIME WALLS - MUST NOT FORGET TO PRIME WALLS - MUST NOT FORGET TO PRIME WALLS

Insect Screen Corroding
Onoff replied to Gone West's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
You could get the aluminium vents powdercoated as one option. If you replace them with "whatever" and have concerns over reaction between the two then tape the rear of the vent so it doesn't come into contact with the screen. -
I'm thinking I need to lay tiles on the mitre section first say 4 high then work sideways from that. The vertical grout line either side needs to look pucker! (Horizontal line sitting slightly low as the laser is sitting on the wet room corner slope). Edit: Or do I just lay as many as I can, say 4 high as far as I have the angle support, and "shuffle" them laterally afterwards? &...walls are nice and plumb... -6mm or 10mm notched trowel? - Butter tile and wall? Butter wall first horizontally then tile vertically? Cheers

4 tiles, 3 spacers = 1008 Thought it would have been 1006! No matter! So thinking set the top of the "Cheapchecker" angle at 1006 down from the highest pocket so 2mm leeway.

Back on thread! Died down about 15 M10 bolts: Level wise it's there or thereabouts and I've infinite adjustment to get it spot on: I remade the short bit for the mitre just now, this time with 22.5deg ends (also re-did the mitres again on the long lengths). A wing nut, bolt & two penny washers allow me to clamp the abutting sections.

Is it 2-pack? I've see some structural silicon used at work. Gun runs off a compressor!

You can have mdf powdercoated...

Is it too late to start a blog?

I reckon your missus is secretly wishing you took as long and paid as much attention to small details as I do!

Galvanised or stainless umbrella nails?

Usurper to my crown is that @zoothorn!

On the assumption the tile butts up tight to the u/side of the trim on the shelf and I'm 4 and a bit tiles to the floor then I need to set the top of my support angle: 250+3+250+3+250+3+250 = 1009mm ... from the underside of the trim / bottom shelf of the pocket. I think...

A few minutes tinkering tomorrow and she'll be right!

This has legs! Longer, fully threaded bolts needed here and there! I've some coach bolts...maybe CT1 rubber on the domed ends again...or I'll tack some nuts to M10 studding. Stupid boy Pike! If I'd have mitred the other way I could have clamped the sections together for stability:

Not wishing to blow my own trumpet but this has potential: (If I could I would... )

If only all Kent girls thought like that...
